    Thank you.

The wheel and tire combo is 68 pounds, this includes lug nuts, sensor and center cap.

I have Michelin Defender LTX M/S in 285/70/17 and love how they ride. They’re not the toughest looking tires, but I don’t need extra road noise in exchange for shorter lifespan and tougher looks.

Mine are on the Limited set I have. I bought them last summer, then stumbled on the BBS take-off rim/tire package last fall. Then I also have a set of Limited rims/tires with studs that are for the winter. I have an overabundance of tires. I'm actually thinking that some may dry rot before I can wear them out. o_O

Lol! I have two sets stored inside the house to prevent dry rot... one set is 11 years old.

Ya, you have me bested! Now I'm asking myself what the production date is on my oldest set (winter), I bought them used in 2014 so they can't be too bad, but it's very dry here and the sun is brutal on everything.

I painted the lettering a metallic silver to match the bright metal on the wheels. Not my best work, but it looks a hell of a lot better than the screaming red TRD center.

    IMG_7907.jpg

As you can see from this picture, my air pressure was a little low (30 lbs.)... I am now running 36 in the front and 35 in the rear, and these Michelin tires ride smooth.

    IMG_7908.jpg

The TOYO's have been sold, they performed as advertised but the ride was just too stiff for me.

I understand that these BBS alloys have a +60mm / 2.36" Offset, can anyone confirm this?

I sealed up the gap at the top of the radiator this morning.
... this should restore the efficiency of the cooling system.

Future plans for my RCSB. (subject to change)

    1. PDR the cab and smooth out all of the little dings and dents. DONE!

    2. Touch up paint chips & scratches.

    3. Replace the pitted windshield and tint it with Ceramic.

    4. Continue cleaning and touching up the interior.

    5. The idea of adding long tube headers has been dropped for good...

    6. Tires: No sense wasting the LTX A/T² tread on summer driving so I am contemplating moving the LTX M/S² to the BBS-FORGED wheels, and mounting the LTX A/T² on the White Winter alloys. DONE!

    7. Over time I may also add an additional LED bulb, but nothing radical.

    IMG_0484.jpg

I don't believe OEM factory headers on a 5.7L rob it of any street-able power, the supercharger uses them... most agree that headers on an SC engine is not an ideal combo for the street. I like the idea of headers on cars & trucks made as late as 1976, but unless I decide to make mine a race truck I'm going to continue enjoying the exhaust I have.

That foam in the gap makes a huge difference in keeping the hot engine air from getting recirculated back in front of the radiator. Nice work.

I put the A/T tires on my SR5 alloys, they are my heavy winter set.

    IMG_8085.jpg
The lighter M/S tires are on the light weight BBS Forged PRO wheels... this non-Winter combo weighs approximately 65 pounds.

    36 plus months of ownership.

I assumed all risk when I purchased this Tundra, especially when you consider that there are zero service records for any of the 270,000 miles racked up before I bought the truck. I had a plan for this truck when I bought it, and I have been fairly successful in implementing that plan. It cleaned up well, and it responded better than expected to my chosen performance & suspension mods.

The only speed bumps that I have encountered along the way were the fuel pump / immobilizer key @271K, and the drive shaft / transmission seal @279k. Other than those two repairs the 26,000 miles that I have put on the truck over the last 36 + months have been uneventful. This truck is reliable, fun to drive and fairly inexpensive to operate. No real surprise, because that's what you expect from a Toyota truck.

I will continue to tinker with it, and I plan to take more road trips in it on the open road once all of this virus crap is over.

It may surprise you that the Zero to Sixty mph time of this RCSB and my massaged Ram Air 455 H.O. in that '71 convertible LeMans Sport with a 12 bolt posi are nearly identical @ 6.0 seconds, and the truck is actually quicker off the line.
    That's muscle car quick.

Tried to 0-60 mine today and could only manage a 6.5 using my TQ Pro installed in my HU. She spins through 1st, 2nd, and chirps 3rd so trying to address traction on my next quest.

Your 6.0 is great, curious if those leaf springs help put it down to the pavement.

2021 begins with 296,721 miles on the odometer, about 4,000 miles were driven on shorter tires @ higher rpm's.

The truck starts, runs, drives and stops great... there is nothing to repair - mods planned for '21 include having the rest of my bed sprayed with Line-X.

    Indeed. lol!

It's main purpose is to preserve & protect the bed, make it more utilitarian, and hide the damage caused by previous owners. It will also make clean up much easier, no more painted surfaces on the bed to wash & wax - I'll just pressure wash it from time to time.

The entire cab, doors, hood & fenders will remain Super White paint.

Well, thanks for the well documented ownership. Your Rescue was a better initial quality than mine. I know a guy who works in the Tundra factory. Apparently RC make up less than 1% of all Tundras and as of 2021 they will not produce RC Tundras any more. Or 2022, not too sure to be exact.
Your whole rear suspension set up is ideal to what I want on my RCLB. I’ll probably get the lowering kit and airbag set up in the summer. Is it possible to use the lowering kit with the factory springs?
Mine are surprisingly in better shape than I’d have thought considering how beat my truck was but the actual loading weights they used weren’t that high I don’t think.
Mine is a 4.7 with 215k in kilometres. Yours is the 5.7, isn’t it?
