Greased up the rear shaft zerks and warshed the Interior windows. I’ve noticed having to clean the interior windows less since fixing all my gasket leaks (rear slider window, suicide door back corner upper gasket button hole, and the famous blower hole tab at the cowl). She smells better, too. :D

Blower motor resistor is coming in this week. Looking forward to doing Ohms testing on it versus the old one.

I would think your windows would build up faster - no venting. Perhaps at this age they've off-gassed most all they're going to?

The water leaks prior were allowing steam inside the cab. No leaks now. Dry, but running AC in the summer always leaves a film.

The compressor won't run if one of the high/low switches is bad either. FSM would be the the next step for diagnostics before replacing the compressor.

Yeah I’m not to sure what the blinking AC light means, but checking the low pressure and HP switch would be the next step.
When you replace the compressor, you will need to add oil per spec, I think they are dry shipped, a new filter dyer, and possible the expansion valve while your in there(not sure where the expansion valve is)

Also check this video, he says we don’t have a AC relay only a fuse and then some sort of pressure transducer. But it kinda sounds like your clutch has shit the bed

Yeah boys. Took her out on some rough roads under construction nearby for the door clatter test. Even hit a familiar parking with speed bumps and the doors shims are working perfectly. No clatter at the bottom jamb and sill when hitting decent bumps like before. HIGHLY RECCO for Access Cabs!! cheap!

I added a little of the Gorilla Double Sided Tape for some padding on the sill side of the shim and left the peel n stick plastic on. Fully dialed.

Got a bunch done on the old girl today.

A Rust-free door is on the truck. Pulled the old one off myself, Got the glass out, 30% tint on the glass, new door hung (with some help from the wife), lock cylinder replaced, and that’s where I call it quits for the night. Pretty happy with the progress considering i only worked on it for 3 hours or so.

Now I just discovered something. The power door lock plugs are different. The bigger one is from the parts truck. I assume this has to do with the dealer-installed security system?

Both limited, my truck is a 00, the parts truck is an 01. 00 had a smaller plug. The only noticeable difference I see is that the 01 has factory security... they even both have cloth seats.

Security doesn’t add anything wire wise.. it just uses the same power locks yours does.. check and see if you old mirrors had heat. That’s all that should be different

Mirrors are the exact same. They even have the same part number.

Wonder if I can use the old door harness so I don’t need to repin the connectors...

Bye bye clear garBRAge. Hello starting paint correction - 1st pass, mild polish + DA + 6" hook/loop pad on single stage paint.

Info on removal of those once-clear rock chip guard "bra" things seen on my fender flares is over HERE. Too bad with the clear bra removal on passenger side, got a little high on my angle with the plastic razor and *shloop* scalloped it a bit. I've got touch up, just haven't bothered. Naval jellied a couple of scratches and filled as well.

    1 for two today!

Installed new Blower Resistor. Performed tests on old and new and they are identical. $23 experiment fail.

While on that side I removed my 1 year New(er) Wells Door Switch and tinkered with it. Dove into the old box of parts removed from truck since a few years ago and swapped in the old ‘good’ switch that I kept just in case. Door lights and locks work as they should. Glad I kept the one good one from last year. Success!

Washed the truck today as yesterday was a rain out.

PB Blast Penetrator Sprayed the entire under chassis. She is loving it. That Toyota factory recall film they sprayed on 2 years ago really soaks the PB in every time I spray it. I see these 5-10 year older sprayed frame pictures people put up on here and see how that factory spray is all cracked and flaking off. It needs oil juice on it to keep it gooey.

@Tundra2 drove 4.5 hours one way to get my old bumper and help install my new one. Can't tell you guys how appreciative I am that we have such great people on this forum.

Looks like I lost maybe 1/2" up front. The build quality on the bumper is really good. Noah has more experience with welding and said it looked excellent. The only issue I had was that the holes on the skid row plate didn't quite line up but we got 2 out of 3 in. I just need to make the 3rd hole a little bigger that should take care of it.

I’m jealous of his 6 hour spa session and he did mention 1st Gen in his sales pitch of that company. I might report you for being mean!

Before you say "No texting, and driving."
Pulled off for petrol, and potty break.:D

250 miles on 14-ish gallons. Minimum speed of 75 MPH. Not terrible. Keep in mind that at times this lil ole V6 truck was LITERALLY screaming to keep up with your INSANE traffic.(At times I was doing 90-95 so I didn't get squashed by big rigs...)

The drive was actually very enjoyable. Truck rides pretty nice. It was rough at times with the clusterfuck of road work in your neck of the woods. Very scenic, and at times stressful. Nonetheless, good for my soul to be around positivity even if it was brief.

Biggest take away for me is that I was able to help someone, not the bumper. I could have very easily just bought all the stuff, and not had an excellent day trip. I got out of the house.

Your new bumper is put together with HIGH quality Tig weld, dime stack technique. Something I could do with practice. I weld at maximum 45 minutes a year...

Tig welding is an art form. You have your tungsten electrode in one hand, and your filler rod in the other. Dual hand technique.

    Very finicky for a newbie.

Thanks guys. I suppose I'll look into replacing the high and low pressure switches... not sure if there's a lot of info out there on that, but I'll see what I can find. It sucks having no cool air in these hot Colorado summers! And it sucks that air conditioning stuff is not cheap! Most likely @FrenchToasty is right and I need a new compressor, filter dryer, and expansion valve.
