Hey, that's fine. I'll see about patching my frame up best I can for now. Odds are it will be awhile before I can find one locally in good shape. Worst case scenario is I buy one new, and have it shipped here. I'll tow it to you from here.

I'll have to inquire about the buying procedure also. That's too big a sum to simply swipe the lil piece of plastic, and carry-on. Hell, your frame most likely was built in Hopkinsville. You said Dana sometime ago? Is that still the vendor?

Maybe it was Metalsa that makes frames?:monocle:

Either way, I know people who work at both factories. LOL Not personally, just like an acquaintance. I know some of you all better than I know some of them.:D

Metulsa makes the new frames. Dana is no longer the supplier. Due to shitty frames. (Look at their frames on the Colorado’s or Jeeps)

I know people who most likely made your frame. How long ago did you get it?

throw it on the roof - LOL.

I was just getting to my 1 year employment anniversary at work, when Metalsa let some people go. Most came to my Factory. Strange, I've probably shaken hands with the men/women who worked the line assembling your frame. Of course, there's absolutely no way to ever know for sure.

You would have to find your frame's specific job #, and then look at Metalsa's records, see which shift it was produced on if it wasn't a multi-shift job, and then look at their employee records on file from then. A lot of paperwork, and leg work to verify a "happen-stance" encounter.

I haven't had a chance to aim my headlights correctly, gotta figure what's up with my fog lights and I think I wired the relay for the light bar incorrectly. But it's gonna have to wait till I recover, it works good enough for now.

While investigating MAF, I decided to follow another of PHM's disciplines.

Tightened throttle cable, and cruise cable.

TC had quite a bit of play.
CC had more play than throttle cable.

Took the truck out for a short little spin, and there is already a significant improvement in throttle response.

I’d say its just sound maintenance versus a discipline. Stuff wears out and stretches. Glad its working better!

    Geologically, this place is heaven.
Climate wise, this place is heaven.
    Work wise, very little jobs.

Again, I say. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, let me know bud.

Depends on which part of TX you go through. Up in the panhandle on I-40 is all flat. Down towards DFW is nice and has those "tree" things. Out west towards Elpaso has some kinda mountains. I'm sure my fellow TX homies can describe further south regions.

it's beautiful, but I'll take the sand, palm trees, cactii & scorpions over the deer, ticks, & large slippery leaves in a second.

@empty_lord the circled part is the transmission cooler right? Was this standard on all 1st Gens or only those with towing package?

What's the part do that I drew an arrow to? I know it has something to do with the AC.

My truck had a transmission cooler between the radiator, and AC condenser.

I misplaced the mounting tabs that go through the rad fins, through trans cooler fins, and mush them together.

As a result... my transmission cooler is zip tied up front. It works, just isn't pretty. Which is why I've been asking occasionally about removing it, and tying into the bottom of the radiator.

I just happened to be present for the guy who drives it to get back in.

He hopped in wearing Penny loafers, and had manicured nails, "office work" hands.

He looked like that kid every popular person in high school hung out with, but also the same guy everyone who was not popular hated.

The kind of guy who says "You can't hit me, my dad will sue you for everything you've got."
