Hell yeah. The bumper is not a big chunk of steel, I always see them with a bunch of little dings and dents. But my present front bumper is full of scratches. I brought a truck to do shit, the pretty bumper is useless aside from holding fog lights. At least that dinged, dented and sometimes bent bumper could take a few bruises and if I had to, I could wack it with mallet and keep riding.

My bumper has served me well.

Some of my drivers side foglight mounting tabs are broken. I need to order another generic set, but I'm holding off in case I decide to replace the bumper. I had to modify the generic fog housings to fit on my FUBAR'd bumper.

Before I found this cheap guard I was looking into the bumper replacement like @FirstGenVol is doing right now. At the time I couldn't justify the expense, and still can't really. I would love one.

At the time this guard was just a hair over $200 on Big gurll, and now the same one is just a hair over $500.

Maybe a gravel road right after the grease rub wasn't "the best" idea, but i was really excited. 20200627_161912.jpg

There is an adjustment mechanism at the hinges for that gap. I saw it in the FSM yesterday. I think you loosen the one screw on each hinge depending on what you need to do. Those black bump stops near the front sides can be twisted easily for back tension as another adjustment.

If anyone wants my old bumper let me know. The chrome under the plasti dip was near perfect if that's your preference.

Working on my buddies Toyota Sienna and found 1 screwdriver and nothing else. Growing up, this was exactly the screwdriver needed to steal a majority of Chevy vehicles. Just this screwdriver. MVIMG_20200627_173517.jpg

That's actually very helpful. I'll shop both then.
My sister bought a Camry in 1997 & was able to custom build it. I'll move forward assuming same was true on the Tundra, just look at each as a unicorn when hunting.

I joined the Billie squad today! After 21 years on it’s stock suspension (I’m assuming the 2000 was released in ‘99), my baby got some new legs. 4th notch in the front, 1 inch block in the rear. New tires on Monday!

Well, time to step away from the modifications and use this truck for the reason I bought it. Packed and ready to head to Utah: Escalante, Capitol Reef, and Uintas. woo-hoo!!

And these sand ballasts have to go.

Highway driving with sandbags is the way to go, my truck rides like a Cadillac with a few hundred pounds of sandbags

Im a sticker guy but that placement looks more like a parking pass than a good spot for a sticker. Id say either rear window corner or side window.

Is the fillers and hardware included? Been looking into swapping it to a 00-02 bumper.
