Have you de-chromed anything or do you like the exterior chrome?

What about the interior chrome? If you hang out at all on the "What have you done to your Tundra today" thread, everyone is de-chroming.

    Any de-badging?

The way I see/saw it when I bought my 1794 is that I like the color of the interior so much better than black that I went with a 1794. I don't mind the chrome. To me it's classy but there are some areas of chrome I might "de-chrome". I'm also going to remove the 4x4 chrome badge on the back and I'm thinking about removing the 1794 badge on the sides. I just think those badges are big and ugly. I'd do the same thing if I had a Platinum badge.

The only de-chroming that I have done so far is the mirrors. I was thinking of the front bumper ends since the rear bumper is color-matched. I don't mind the handles being chrome as it matches the 1794 badge so I think I will leave it. I might change my mind after I install the vent visors and the bumper ends.

I just picked up my 1794 two weeks ago. So far I like the chrome, except the wheels. Those are a bit much. I have ordered the color matched mirror covers, we will have to see once the covers are installed.

I got mine with the black tailgate 4x4 and TUNDRA badging - it looks great on my Silver Sky Metallic 1794. I am strongly considering color matched front bumper caps and mirror covers, but don't mind the grill as much. I like the interior the way it is. I also considered some black wheels but I most likely will not do those in the near future.

Where did you order these from? How much did you pay?

I originally wanted the TRD Pro but found out how much was missing when it came to extra features. Mind you, I was coming from an '08 SR5 DC, so I was looking for a major upgrade. Was looking between Plat and 1794. Went with my current '17 1794 CM for two major reasons, black and no moonroof. Don't judge (okay, judge since I can't stop you). So based on that I knew it would be easier to remove the chrome than to add the features. Haven't looked back since.

I haven't done anything. Mine is a TRD OR so it doesn't have the chrome 4x4 emblem on the tailgate I bought one just haven't slapped it on yet. I've actually considered getting the 1794 emblem to go above the 4x4 but not sure how that will look.

My 2019 1794 in Mesquite Brown has been de chromed on the outside except the door handles and badges, handles will stay, not sure about the badges.
Interior, I am going to hydro dip most all the trim including the fake wood in CF. The interior chrome is just bad down here about blinding you.

I special ordered my 2018 1794 with the TRD off road package and other options i wanted and didn’t want. So mine didn’t come with the chrome 4x4 on the tailgate either. I like the chrome on the truck as it does like classy. The only chrome i have covered up is around the cup holder so I didn’t have to hear the wife complaining about getting blinded by it. Next maybe the 1794 badge on the center council for the same reason. MY SANITY :)

I’m thinking about changing out my rims for the 2019 TRD PRO rims since i have replaced the stock TRD off road shocks with the new TRD FOX PRO shocks. Guess I’m going to name her the PRO Chrome or PRO Ranch.

My tint reduced the sun reflections a lot. It's pretty sunny down here on the Gulf Coast as well.

Thats where I am too, South Louisiana. My tint is not legal and I did my windshield too, sure helps with the heat.

Ya I thought of getting them tinted but out here in CA that’s just another reason to get stopped and harassed for no reason.

Love the truck the way it came except the wheels and the grille. Just a little to much chrome upfront so I changed out the grille and the wheels are next. The 1794's are like comparing Lexus to Toyota's as far as Interior!

Well, I have only had mine for a few weeks. If it becomes a problem I will deal with it then. Where in Cajun land do you live? I have friends and family in N.O., Houma, Thibodeaux, Baton Rouge, and Lake Charles.

Yep the interior is what sold me on the 1794.
Looks like a everyday Tundra from the outside, but when you open all those windows and other see the leather and wood grain they are all impressed.

I like mine pretty much just like it is! Except I will do something about the running boards it came with down the road.

I upgraded tires already, toneua cover, etc...

    Funny, I always talk about this. I got a white 1794, 2017.

I was in the passenger seat and was nearly blinded by the reflection off the cup holder surround
I dont like the chrome mirrors. I actually dont like chrome that much for the fact If isnt clean (which drives me nuts) it looks trashy.

Personally I think wheels and handles are OK chrome. Would like to switch front + back bumpers and the TRD grill.

I was going to black mine out entirely. But then I saw a couple blacked out pros running around and they just look boring. So... I got my diamondback powder coated black and am going to leave the rest of it the way it is. I do need to put a stealthy light bar in the hood bulge though.

Rubberdown which light bar are you looking at? I been thinking about a stealthy bar in the hood bulge as well. Was also thinking about some amber light bars to hide behind the grill, these would come in handy for the fog and snow. In the research process still.

I've removed my 4x4 badge on the tailgate. I think it looks way better.

Am strongly considering removing the 1794 badge on the sides. Any thoughts? Anyone done this and regretted it? Could you post pics?

I'd like to replace the front bumper chrome end caps with painted ones.
I'd like to replace the side mirror chrome with painted ones.
I'd like to do something with the front grille but I'm not sure yet.

All the other chrome I'm mostly fine with. The interior chrome doesn't bother me at all. It's only the exterior chrome I'd like to reduce.

Color matched the door handles and mirror caps, color matched hood bulge. Pro grill. Just picked up a color matched sport front bumper. debating on whether or not to keep the front valence color matched or go with the black like the Pro, hence the theme. Either way i cant stand the chrome.

I like Chrome - in moderation anyway. I wasn't a fan of the wheels the 1794 comes through with, so I opted for the 18" TRD wheels. I'll probably add a headache rack at some point. I haven't yet decided if that will be black or polished aluminum.

Probably the sdhq mount with the Baja designs 40” s8. I’d like the NSV, but I think all those flashes and chasing and stuff it does are dumb. I just want good light.

It’s cheaper to do the behind the grill. I am have to go that route. Just bought a new AC.

Also I have rock warriors on my truck. I can’t do the chrome wheels. It’s just to much.

I washed mine yesterday without thoroughly hand drying it. The water spots on the chrome are easy to wipe off, but it SUCKS that they are there in the first place.

I have de-chrome the interior 100% minus the 1794 badge on the center armrest ( I actually like that one). Also covered all the faux wood with leather steering wheel wrap or 3M wrap. Used AJT Designs to get rid of the rest. For me, the chrome made it look cheap while the black is elegant. Toyota needs to look at the new f-150 and follow suite.

The exterior still has the front bumper end caps, otherwise all color matched. I didn't replace the door handles, I just painted them.
