That was my initial thought when I first installed it, but I was like "Damn, I already paid the $200, I might as well leave it on for a while."
I'm really happy with how my ride looks now compared to it's akward teen phases.

So how much room is behind the seat in a RC or DC? I've got 2 10s behind the seats in my work van, but, it's a work van. It's pretty narrow at the bottom, and if you went 8s or the thin tw series from JL, it could be narrower.

I ordered more parts to just sit there while I drink beer and wait for them to install themselves.

Has anyone used these axles? I imagine at that price they can't be that great...

That's a new option only available on 1st gens in Florida. He fixes car while you drive.

But just like many people in Florida, he drinks to much and wastes all his earnings on strippers. Never fixes a damn thing

Took the old girl for a quick spin to get a feel for the new 12 hole injectors and 02 sensors. Not a definitive review just yet, it's really hot and I couldn't really jump on the pedal but.... Smooth is good word to use. From idle to the way she accelerates and shifts, Smooth. I did lean into the pedal a bit and she dropped a gear quickly and hustled, and again Smooth. I have to finish my headlights and get some ass in seat time

They're okay. My brother's truck has had them about 5 years and now they're making noise and the boots are torn.

(Camper conversion underway.) Rebuilt engine w/265K miles, A.R.E. camper shell (w/cab pass-through, rooftop fan, and side windows delete), bedlinered steel ladder rack (w/wooden rooftop deck and hammock mount), all LED lights (red dash, 4" side floods, 32" rear bar), Android head unit, 1.5" lift from Bilstein 5100 struts, 32" DuraTrac tires on factory rims, 1.5" wheel spacers, Moog suspension parts, SuperSprings leaf kit, diff drop, Reese trailer brake control, GoRhino Hitch Step, debadged, F-150 rear bumper, Sequoia center console unit upgrade, partial rear bench seat delete, dashcam, aftermarket speakers, 50% sound deadening coverage, custom tools unit.
Got a beefy piece of aluminum trim called a "sill nosing" installed along with a tailgate gap cover!

    Before:

    After:

Galley unit will still attach to the floor nicely when time (also pictured, tailgate assist strut, info courtesy of @Professional Hand Model ).

The Rok Block weatherstrip will finally stop my tools from descending into the abyss between the tailgate and bed. It's attached with included 3M tape to the 'gate and floor while the trim piece holds it down as well.

On that, I opted for a clean, screwless install on and it turned out wonderfully! I plan on keeping aluminum as part of the interior materials palette.
Not only does it hide my imperfect woodworking, this end piece helps keep the truck a truck... While someday the bed will be a dedicated camper, what good is a pickup if you can't also haul stuff when needed?

As infrequently as I drive, maybe 1800 miles a year, you think they'd be ok? Or pony up the almost $800 for CVJ?

I ponied up for the JVCs, but if it doesn't get driven hard and often, I wouldn't hesitate on them.

Reviewing the past two years work on my truck and pairing it up with engine mechanical optimization data saying air, spark, and fuel are the key.

    1) Air: MAF Sensor (new). Throttle Body Cleaned and Maintained. SeaFoamed the Manifold (sphincter tightener that one). New o2 Sensors (all). New Muffler.

    2) Spark: All new Denso Ignition Coils. New Denso copper plugs (OEM part#). Feather duster maintained.

    3) Fuel: New 12 port injectors, SeaFoamed Additive on occasion, New(er) Fuel Filter, New Gas Cap.

Today will test Fuel Pump Resistor resistance per spec. No way to test fuel pump without mucho work?
Might pull my cheap plastic bedliner off thats done such a good job of protection over the years and inspect the Bed Bolts with Mamba Impact now that @Tundra2 has given some insight into the matter.

Anyone here change their Cam Seals/Drive Shaft Seals?

Can the old cams seals be pulled without removing the Case Shroud (not cover). FSM is unclear about REMOVAL. FSM shows install but not REMOVAL.

Not sure on those models. Behind our seat there isn't much room, just enough for an amp rack. I'm planning to drop a JL TW3 under the back seat but might opt for the Infinity slim 10 instead, at least temporarily.

I really don't want to lose my backseat and I know it's going to be a lot louder once I do, but I need to pull it out and build a platform that my dogs can lay on.

I’ve never ran one on my trucks and no issues. Typically they just rotate the diff forward, not actually drop it. Most of the guys I wheel with never install one or only did because they had it laying around. I don’t believe it does any damage but money could be spent elsewhere.

I had my back seat out for years when I had a boxer. The road noise coming through those atmosphere vents was loud. I took some foam sponge material and cut it into little cubes slightly bigger than the openings in those vents, stuffed them in there and that helped. Wasn't as quiet as having the seat there but it took out some wind noise.

I was planning to put a 1/2" MDF board across the back wall and pad the back of the board with that foam mattress stuff (the kind with little pyramids) but I never bothered. If you are building a platform that might be a plan to consider, you can attach to the false wall and hang stuff on it as well.

Mission accomplished, but what a PITA removing the old grommet turn out to be!!
Both ends of the hose were cracked, so I made fresh cuts and put it back on... this tells me that other hoses will need to be replaced. @Professional Hand Model, have you replaced the majority of hoses on the engine? Do you have a parts list you can share?

The old valve came out pretty easy, but the old swollen grommet put up a fight. The sponge foam cover did it's job by soaking up oil that had blown by over the years... I compressed the oil out between shop towels and reinstalled it.

My Professional Paw Model is displaying the new PCV valve and grommet

    IMG_7899.jpg
    Here are the other images.

    IMG_7901.jpg IMG_7903.jpg IMG_7905.jpg IMG_7906.jpg

The old valve still rattled when I shook it, and the oil was blowing by the old worn out grommet.

She is in spec at 90° ambient with the engine bay at operating temp. Cleaned up the resistor and applied Electrical Grease. Tightened that top screw as well.
