I need to put a chrome one back on mine.

 

I’m a big fan of no chrome... just not my style, unless it’s a vintage American automobile

 

This should be proof of my no chrome life style

 

same, Ive gotten rid of all chrome. But im not a big fan of full black so I usually leave wheels bronze or silver.

 

I like black, with trd red accents

 

Similar here, born and raised in East Harlem and lived in Brooklyn and Da Bronx each for 12+ years. Retired in AZ a couple of years ago. A few years back when NYC got a relatively large snow storm, volunteers from Buffalo NY came to help. They laughed at our crisis snowstorm and said it was a dusting in comparison. My A/C deals with the heat, but once that cold got into my bones I was hurting.

Per PHM's recco I have started doing small nighlty exercises. Nothing too strenuous to start with.

Back in my cycling days I would not have hurt this way. Tonight got to my 47th rep of motivators and then I heard my toe pop. NG.

 

I used to never torque anything. It was always: "Shit, I can't give er anymore capn."

Good enough. Not no mo. I have seen the light. Especially with how important everything I've been working on should be torqued to spec.

At work we only break out to torque wrench for specific jobs. Such as tearing down pneumatic rubber injection shot size flow regulators.

 

I do ugga Dugga one thing though.




My steering wheel nut. That’s the only thing I run on with an impact. Not super tight. But I don’t like torquing those Z

 

Considering you have had that truck for some time and plan on keeping for the long haul, you are correct. Torque the antenna also.

 

If I could find a torque chart for something like...

1. Engine components
2. Miscellaneous items
3. Headlight nuts
4. Taillight bolts.
5. Everything in general.

I would torque everything to spec.

 

How does one torque the antenna?

The only way I can figure to do that is thus

Crows foot, torque wrench.

 

If my truck was my major concern or hobby, I would spend time getting things absolutely correct. Unfortunately my plate is full. Tomorrow is clean up day, that means the truck and house needs to be done. The weekend is gaco coat the roof and find time to work on my buddies Toyota Sienna. Monday is surgery and that means I'm down for at least 2 weeks

I have a small set at work that I use for hydraulic fitting on forklifts. I hate using them but have never needed to use them out in the open.

I work with fellas who have never seen, or heard of these. Kinda an odd item. They have been in maintenance longer than I have been alive.

 

Hope all goes well for your surgery. Must be mildly major if you'll be down, and out for 2 weeks. My surgery was an outpatient deal.
Friday I went in, checked in, waited, filled out paperwork, waited, went back to the room, got nekked/put on gown, anesthesiologist came in, explained, drugged me, out I was.

Surgery was a little less than 1.5 hours.

I was awake, and coherent by the time I got home. 1 hour drive. Went back to work that Monday.

 

Love hate those things. Wish I had a 7/8 crow, would have made that 02 sensor child's play, but probably would have frustrated me enough to drink rum runners

 

Most people I tell that to seem to all have a similar look, like they want to kick me in the nuts. (Maybe it's because I retired at 49yo?)

My 02 sensors bolt on with two 13mm nuts each.

 

Huh? 13mm? They should be 12mm

 

The old nuts rusted away. Replaced them with regular nuts, and washer. Let me dig around in the files for pictures.

@empty_lord according to my files this is June 8th, of last year.
I removed the heat shield with pliers so I could see what I was doing.

Ran a sacrificial nut down the stud to break up the remnants of old nuts, and then used M8×1.25 die to further clean up the threads.

Installed new sensor, and heat shield. Maybe its a rock guard?

Upstream sensor was a little better off. Still ran a die down it anyway. Put on a TINY amount of anti-seize on stud, and ran new washer, lock, and nut down.

 

Deviated septum hypertrophic turbinates. Basically they are rebuilding the inside of my nose. Apparently you guys are spoiled with breathing. Doc said the 1st week will be rough, 2nd week is adjusting. Let's see if this even happens, I think they will cancel due to covid spiking.

Now I'm really jealous FML. I'm going to be 48 this year, I have accepted that I will be working till my last breath. I just want to work on my terms, no time clock yelling at 6am and...... I'm going to stop there, just thinking about it makes me grind my teeth.

Management Dept (wifey) and I are trying to get more apartments. As much as I hate doing carpentry it sure as hell beats the above problem
