Does this fix the noise of the door flexing when you close it a little too hard?

 

Thanks for that, I've been looking for any factory painted door handles in quicksand for crewmax, do they exist?

Trying to fix a phantom squeak and found a loose bolt on the skid plate so I tightened that, hopefully that helps. Also replaced the throttle body gasket with the rubber one without a screen because I have that damn whistle when accelerating. We’ll see if that fixes that one too.

 

Im not sure I’ve ever encountered that, but this definitely gives the doors a much more solid feel when you shut them.

 

Not sure how to describe it, the door sounds hollow when shut hard maybe? But if it's flex of the door skin, I imagine the mat would need to be on there rather than over the hole in the door.

 

Gotcha.....I did the skin of the door as well as the inner liner (that you see in the pics).

 

You could probably hear a mouse fart in the cab.

Washed and hit it with some 303 Protectant and BeadMaker.

 

The quickest, easiest and cheapest way to do it is to have the chrome vinyl wrapped. I had the chrome inlays vinyl wrapped on my quicksand. There is also some color match wrap that is not too expensive. It cost $60 for me to have a guy wrap mine. Hope this helps

 

Removed some chrome badges and installed some black ones. Still got some more chrome to remove, side view mirrors are next.

New wheels and tires installed today and gave her a bath. Miss the look of the KO2’s but these Coopers have improved the ride quite a bit.

 

Finally installed my new head unit. Decided on the Kenwood DNX997XR. All I can say is this thing is amazing and I retained all my controls, even the center dash navigation queues.

 

Ha...its definitely quieter, but not that quiet....especially given the tires and exhaust noise......

 

But if wifey really loves you she would like you get it but in the end you gotta bring your game and I mean everything you have to make her happy. It will work But you will be in begging why do I do that.

$28.75 for a 60inch x 1yd. Thats plenty to do the handles, bulge, surround, and end caps if you wanted to. Its a pretty close match. Heres a pic of a sample piece i got to test out.

 

With the intercooler now there, my jomax bracket is HELLAFLUSH. No bolts to hold it secure for not so zip ties it is! Took off the hood latch and was able to slide it in.
