Aren't the calipers from the same year 4Runners the same size too?

Its all good buddy considering I’ve been busting your balls pretty good lately. I’ll look into the Omega 6 thing. The ‘plant based meats’ we eat are Beyond Meat and Field Roast. We don’t have those often. Usually its all veggies with pea pasta and tortillas. Lots of flava and/or some red grainy rice I can’t recall.

I choked down a real meat large cheese steak for lunch today. It was nice. :D:yes:

I had booga king for lunch, that was a mistake.

I'm paying for it as I type this.
I should have gone for the cheese steak, I know a good truck that makes a decent 1 and I have not had issues with it.

    Heres what happened today.
    1. Jacked truck up.
    2. Removed drivers side wheel.
    3. Followed PHM's idea.
    4. Dried frame in/out best I could.
    5. Waited.
    6. Filled misting pressure bottle with opsho, and misted in/out of drivers side of frame where I could get the nozzle at.
    7. Started rear grease rub while waiting for ospho timer to go off.
    8. 35-40 min later wiped off the ospho.
    9. Inspected.
    10. Finished rear grease rub.
I had been hearing thunder all day over the horizon. About 4 pm central time the Rain hit, and so did the 60mph winds. I was prepared.

Already had canopy over the frame, anchored to ground, and tied off to cinder blocks on corners. The heavens opened...

No pics, or videos today because I was racing the rain. Again. Lol

I had another ospho blunder today while filling the pressure bottle...

Here I am holding the pressure bottle, and ospho container. Both are open. I needed two hands for something. I set the opsho down so I don't spill any. I'm fiddling with the pressure cap, and I bump the table with ospho. Most of it dumps onto my pants around my crotch/thighs.

I didn't care that my neighbor was pouring a concrete floor for a shop he's building, or that he had his team of concrete people up there. I knew this was bad, and I had to get out of these clothes right now. I don't think I've ever gotten naked so fast!

Unbuckled my belt, undid the button, then the fly. Pulled undies, and pants down to my knees... bent over, and hurriedly untied my boots. Kicked them off of me, and then went for the socks.

Legs, and other parts were starting to tingle. I limp over to the pressure washer, and disconnect the water hose. Hose myself down, then take a shower right there, and then with some dawn I had.

Limped my way down the gravel driveway to the house, and put new clothes on.

    What a day! :eek::bananadead:

Try dry fitting this piece from your truck and seeing if you can make it bend to replicate the part you can’t get. You might be able to put a little heat on it and make the piece turn by boiling in water. Worst case scenario is you just buy the new OEM hose and replace it if you mess up. I’d buy 2 just in case. The older long piece is your sacrificial may serve for a few tries based on the length.

You can also try just cutting off the dry rotted end part off and choking up on the old U hose. I’ve done that on a few of those hoses in that general area with success, but the little turned one is mighty short. Not sure if it will work due to shortness.

    @FirstGenVol

Upon further review, maybe buy this piece and cut off the curved part as its already pre-curved.

In california, I don't think Ive seen a 1gen Tacoma under 6k no matter the miles. I see alot of 4D tacomas with 250K+ for 6500 to 9000.

Pull it off, measure the inside diameter and buy a silicone hose they typically handle tight bends better than rubber.

Or measure buy a foot of rubber hose and 2 90's.

Never was a NASCAR fan, but have been following the latest Virtue Signaling outrage over there. Fake Noose is real. I stopped watching NFL about 6 years ago after years of wasting my Sundays. Its only gotten worse lately from my understanding. Everything in entertainment is being ruined.

I did a search on RockAuto for 2014 4Runners and 2014 GX460s and they have the same part #s for the front calipers for whatever that's worth...

If i won the lottery or if i had my shit together, i would buy a shit ton of older toyotas, rust proof them all, and just let them sit. Would drive them once a every other month or so on the highway for an hour or so and park em right back. Maybe even old square body nissans too. I'm going to be saddened when I'm 50 years old and i wont be able to see these beauts anymore

Thanks. That website is not the most user friendly. I didn't find any parts within 150 miles of me when I looked yesterday. Now that I know 4Runner will work that will open up my options. I doubt there are many totaled GX460's out there.

And the only thing required is that the tabs on the caliper have to be ground down a bit?

    Speaking of calipers...

My drivers side has been replaced at some point in time with an aftermarket unit. Probably a dura-last if I know pops. I saw neither 13(w?) Or 13(L?) Stamped.

How cool is this. Came across a guy on Expo forum that relocated his shifter to the floor. I dig it.
