It's not quite plug n play. There is some very minor wiring and you should run a 0 gauge power wire to your battery. Fairly easy, just time consuming

For the sub and enclosure, it is pretty plug and play. All you have to do is strip 2 wires.

If you get the amp also, that is another story.

Thanks palehorse, do you cut the wires at the speaker connection after the white plug harness or before that white plug harness mounted to back of stock box?

I cut them off right at the plug. Then pull the wire out of the black loom a little bit. My wires were taped together so I cut the tape off, stripped them, and plugged them in. Did not unplug it at all, just cut the wire and took the POS plastic box out

That’s awesome, sounds very easy. What’s your honest opinion of the difference the nice? The stock is just plain weak as I can’t hear any bass.

Night and day. 110% better. It's no boom wagon, but now I have fuller sound that I can hear and feel.

Palehorse, did you have to mount the speaker with your own screws and predrill holes? If so do you mind telling me the type of screws used? Thanks

My apologies, I figured the box was going to be tight and secure based on its size, I meant the speaker itself to the sub box. I read from posts back in 2018 that they had to mount the speaker after receiving the setup from James at Tech12volts.

I just responded to wolfman to clarify my questions. My apologies palehorse for not being more descriptive.

can't go wrong with jrt but suggest you get in contact and describe what sound and improvements you're looking for. from there he can recommend options. like for me, i wanted a bass knob also.

Yes you have to screw the speaker to the box with some drywall screws. Super easy

Another quick question if someone could help out. James was mentioning I need to set this speaker to 2 ohms, can someone help guide me on how to do exactly that? Is it as easy as adding the FS connecters to internal speaker wiring and put on negative and positive, or does this speaker have to be bridged? Any input is greatly appreciated.

There is a switch on the speaker for the mode. 2 or 4 ohm
