Does anyone know if the internal wiring harness for the solenoid in the AB60F is the same harness as the A760E. I think I need a new harness and can only find one for the A760E. I know one is a 5 speed and mine is a 6 speed but didn't know if it was the same harness. If not does anyone know the part number for the internal solenoid harness?

Both the A760E and the AB60F are six speed transmissions. The key is the third character in the model numbers.

But, assuming the model numbers you quoted are correct, I would say: No, the harnesses are not the same. The difference in the harnesses is in the number of internal temperature sensors. AB60F has two temperature sensors, the A760E has one temperature sensor. The two harnesses don't even look the same. Is there no way the AB60F harness can be repaired?

See this training video at 8:59 and following for explanation:

Im not 100% sure that it is bad. I out a new solenoid in it this weekend because it was throwing a P0974 code and it didn't fix the problem. I pulled the connection on the outside of the transmission where the solenoids hook up and noticed one spot had some junk inside the connection I cleaned it out but it didn't help anything. I didn't actually pull the harness off the side of the trans to check it out so I couldn't check the male ends. I will probably do that this weekend but was just going to order one to be safe

That is the style of harness im after

Here is a little background. 2009 tundra with AB60F throwing P0974 code. CEL is on, 4 lo flashing, VCS flashing, Traction control on. I changed the S1 solenoid and it is all still on. Truck seems to not go into 1st gear when in "D" but if put in manual it will work fine with no slipping or anything through gears. Any other ideas as to what could be causing the code? All internal wiring inside the trans pan looked good, only thing was on the connection where the solenoid harness hooks up on the outside of the trans a couple of the holes on the female connector looked to have some debris in them. Cleaned them out and still doing the same thing. It did also throw a code for a knock sensor before this all started but it went away so I assumed bad gas. And it did throw the knock sensor code again the first time it started the P0974 but after i cleared them it hasn't came back on. Also there is a hole in one of the exhaust pipes before the cat, don't think that could have anything to do with it but I really am clueless on this type of thing

Probably a good idea to start a new thread with this information. There are people here who may be interested in diagnostics with no interest in internal harnesses on transmissions.
