What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

looks like our front ends are in the same place. I have the cement grill surround but chrome bumper caps in front. What’s your plan? You going to color match the caps?

Looks good, but I can't quite tell from the pic, are they chrome or just shiny black? I need to get the black ones on my truck. Been being lazy...

Slapped the ol' SS Built front end on there finally.

 

Hood roof and tailgate Avery matte black, everything else matte forest pine green metallic. I’ll post some photos when she’s done.

Slightly modded the wife’s 4Runner and parked it next to the Tundy

Steering rack bushings replaced with energy suspension bushings.

 

A little mod I made to my interior tailgate. My kid was dragging his equipment bag across the tailgate leaving marks. So I had some rubber diamond plate pattern pieces laying around, so I back out two of the existing screws, poke two holes in the rubber, and viola! A tailgate door mat !!! LOL

Sick...how bad is the install...I’m in the process of saving up for it and would love to DIY/make a video on my channel...I’m handy and have done a lot of projects but worried this one might be over my head...lol

 

Not searched for this answer, but curious, are there any real world dyno tests before/after a supercharger? What kind of gains do you really get?
I'm sure everyone has their opinions, but has anyone got real numbers?

I haven't decided yet, I don't mind a touch of chrome and everybody here likes to black out/color match, so being different isn't bad! I've got color matched mirror caps sitting in my garage, but haven't gotten around to trying them out yet.

 

Depending on tune and pulley, I’m fairly certain you end up with somewhere around 500hp and 550 lbs of torque. @ViktorG would know.

I got a friend helping. Sure helps those hard to reach bolts. Some removal needs 2 people. Labor will be a pretty
Penny if u take to a shop. No customization tho all straight forward. U needs lots of tools and sizes extensions so I hope
U have lots of tools. I needed to buy some even tho we had our own sets of tools. Worth it working on it, makes u know the truck better. But there is some steps where u wanna break things haha.

 

My first addition to my Tundra, Amp Research power steps !These are as good as they say they are, very impressed. Many more upgrades to do but you have to start somewhere.

 

Do the rokblokz hang lower than stock? How do you like them so far?

 

I did the cheap LED upgrade for headlights and foglights today. Just some straight plug n play leds off Amazon.
The headlights have been on about a month and working perfect. Added the foglights today.


Then I got so jealous of seeing the armrest wireless charging everyone has been installing I decided to do something about it.
I didnt wanna spend 150-200 for it so I decided to use my hillbilly engineering skills to make my own.
I had been using a magnetic fast wireless charger by Scosche on my center dash for Android Auto but ever since I installed a wireless Android Auto headset I did not need that anymore.
So I refactored it to work in my armrest, LOL. Cut a hole in there that allowed the Scosche platform to sit in it. Then secured with 3M tape. Hooked the cable up underneath and made use of the 12volt outlet in the console.
Works perfect!!!
I made sure it was raised up and not flush fit on purpose in case I put a case on my Note 9 which makes the phone too big to sit flush in the bottom. This way it just rests on top of the wireless magnetic charger!!!
