Okay, so I lied. Sorry! But here's what really happened, and I hope someone can explain it.

My '15 SR5 entune has been super frustrating. Freezing up, GPS turning on by itself and going berserk...pandora never working, etc. So I finally called toyota and they said take it to the dealer and have the audio driver updated to D4 or D54.

...so back from the dealer (they upated to D4) and I noticed something really interesting. After I filled up, Miles-To-Empty was 428. The highest I've ever seen is 355.

Obviously my gas mileage did not improve by 20%. Only thing I can think of is the update allows the computer to acknowledge the fuel reserve.

Anyone out there know for sure?

Just a few, more to come
If they reset the ECU or disconnected the battery in the process then your miles to empty may be reading just on the miles since you got the work done, which if you were turning higher MPG's over the short period since the reset vs your usual average then it'll show higher now and then taper back down over time

Na it just reset the system. Drive a few weeks for the truck to relearn and it will be back where it was.
