So I am thinking about the pro grill.
I like some chrome, I know a lot of yall hate it :notsure:

Has anyone put the newer pro grill center in with the Platinum chrome surround?
I might have the Toyota letters done in white also to set it off.

I want the word Toyota, but not sure I like all the paint matching. To me that looks like a base model vehicle. :crapstorm:

Chrome cost more, so it's better imho, paint match is simple and cheap for the manufacturer to do.

Wish my rear bumper was chrome to match the front. Wtf was toyota thinking doing front and back bumpers differently lol.

Don't get me wrong, all the same color looks good also, but I like bling on my top trim vehicle to.

Hell if I had money to waste, I'd have the Tundra chrome painted just because lol.

So any pics of a newer chrome pro grill?

    Thanks!

Keep in mind that the chrome on our bumpers is actually chrome plated steel. The rest of the chrome like on the grille surround is plastic and known to peel or wrinkle at some point. My 14's hood bulge has that issue. I painted over that nonsense with black, until I can afford a hood bulge from @Roman. Sucks quite frankly. Chrome bumpers are ok imho but I absolutely hate "fake" plastic chrome. I'd go with the full white PRO grille. But I'm not you of course. Get what you like. That's the main thing.

Yea that's true. Chrome ain't real these days, hasn't been for many decades except on some motorcycles. I can live with it.

Mines OK for now. If it goes bad I'll replace it with new probably. Or bite the bullet and swap the white surround from the pro white grill I will order if I decide to do this.

I just like chrome, not love, but like, it adds a pop from bland boring solid colors imho.

My real issue is the dam grey/silver center bumper peice. It needs to be black, so now I have added cost to a grill swap because of that crap. Why Toyota, why? There no Grey/silver on the rest of my truck, it should have been black!

Oh well, first world problems

    Nice, thank you.

Looks good but I prefer the newer honeycomb pro grill.

Dam then you painted it all lol.

Gives me a better idea of what I'm after. I think my plan is good for me
And I will do the Toyota letters in white to make it unique :bananadance:

I spent 5 years messing around with my 07. No rush...do it at your own pace. Don't be in a hurry....more satisfaction that way!

Thank you!! The color is not that common, but I feel like it is much more unique now.

I blacked the back bumpers too.

The bumpers are TPO bumpershellz covers.
I only painted the grill and surround to match.

I'm considering bumpershellz up front but a Ranch Hand is definitely going on the rear....

Check above. I used them on the rear as well.

I got hit in the rear a couple weeks after I got my 14. My 07 got rear ended big time. Almost $8K to get it fixed. I don't trust our rear bumpers at all. Ranch Hand it is....I've seen too many minor rear end hits that caused way too much damage. Even with the new 3rd gen design....still weak.....
