I don't think a body lift is the way to go on any vehicle. If you're going to do it. Do it right.

Yeah, dunno little things I didn't even realize I was noticing.
The POR UV-stability issue isn't an issue for a couple of days I'm sure.

@Hooptytrix nice. is it as low as it appears? That lanai roof is looking a little hoopty.... Easy to grow old together in a house like that.

I use to agree until my last truck had a 5" lift kit plus a 3" body lift. I can't count how many times I was under the truck doing something and I had so much space to work

Especially when @Hooptytrix finds out none of the 8 tenants is paying rent & are protected by Covid-19 executive orders.

I hate to do this but honesty is best.

    Answer to #1 Section 8
Answer to #2 Terms of sale are delivered empty.

#2 is important, pick your own tenants because you don't want someone else's trash

    So, story time.
1 month ago, Pops and I laid new press wood laminate in the kitchen. When we were at Lowe's I asked him, and mom. "Pops, why aren't we spending the extra $1.50-$2.00 a square foot for waterproof vinyl? I mean its going in the kitchen for Christ's sake."

To which he replied, "We'll just have to be careful."

I told him "Fine I'll buy the vinyl flooring. Pick out what you like. Its in the kitchen. What if there's a water leak?"

To which he said "Naw, The pressed wood will be fine. Save your money."

I bowed out, and said "Okay, you do you. I give it less than a year and it will blister from water damage. Someone will be too lazy to pick up an ice cube, or something like that."

    He shrugged.

That day we started laying new floor in the kitchen. One day later we were done, amd had all the appliances in place.

    TONIGHT...
I'm laying in bed. I'm almost asleep. I hear water running, and think, "oh maybe someone couldn't sleep so they're in the kitchen washing dishes." I hear some more commotion, and then I hear Mom hobble in the kitchen, and say "Oh shit."

I knew then there was trouble. I spring out of bed. Swing open my door, and run into the kitchen. She's on her knees, elbow deep in the cabinet, water pouring out every where!

I rush to her side, shove her out of my way, run my arm into the cabinet, and feel around for the water valve. No water valve on the cold side. "SHIT!" I say. Water gushing out of the (3/8?) cpvc tube. I jump up, and run to my older brothers door. Its locked, like always .I pound on his door, and rattle his door knob, and yell "Let me tHE FUCK in here."

He kinda gets up, and meanders around the room for a while, and finally opens his door. I push him out of my way, and I jump over his stack of VHS BOXES he has, even though he has no VHS player. Swing open the utility closet, and rush in. Turn the interior main valve off, and go back into the kitchen to asses the damge.

Cpvc pipe is broken off flush with the wall, just after the 90° elbow. "Fuck" I say. Water is UNDER the 1 month old press wood laminate flooring, and between the particle board above floor joists.

Mom, and I start cleaning up the water thats EVERYWHERE. My little brother is standing there kinda dumbfounded, and shaking. I knew then he was the culprit. I asked him in a soft voice "Hey, what happened?" He looks down, and shrugs. I asked him again. He said "I was pulling on the sprayer thingy and then water came out from the cabinet, and I didn't know what to do so I went and got mom."

He started crying, to which I hugged him, and said "Hey, its alright. Calm down. Its only a floor."

Mom butted in here, and said "We don't need no damn Vinyl in the kitchen we'll be fine" her, and I started laughing and so did lil bro.

I left them to clean up, and went outside and investigated from the crawl space. On my way to the access door I noticed Large amounts of water coming out of the side of the house. The crawl space was worse.

    Fuck me man.

Our Wet/dry Vac burned up 2 weeks ago. Of course. It was 30 years old.

Soaked up as much water as possible, and put up fans to move some air around. Maybe it will suck some water out between the floor. All I know is I'm tired.

    Insurance maybe?

Edit; We got $20k from our insurance from a leaky ac unit. I installed porcelain tile throughout the house and pocketed nearly $10k. We went on vacation after

This motor will be in the taco soon. The other 3.4 I have is built to the moon. Seriously. Bottom end is built to handle 1500hp. Assuming the block could handle it.

POUR BAGS OF RICE ON THE FLOOR!!!

No, guess it only works on phones dropped in water then in a bag.

That really sucks to hear after a fresh install. You do tell a story well and it was like I was watching in my head as I was readying. Like a funny but sad little movie short.

That little old house is very well cared for, pride of ownership shows in the details. There is so much development in this area that I believe the owners want out before a new hotel gets built across the street

I’d love to tear my engine down and rebuild it. I’d make the pistons bigger and install some stronger rods. Might even add some Fuzeit as gasket maker. :D

Looking at it as a home for yourself and family. There asking to much $$ and it is too small.
Looking at it for land and location. With all the development in the area, I would say 3-5 years from now this will bring in a nice return

Damn, that sucks. Reminds me of a time when I got a call at work and my now ex wife says, "uhhh, theres water coming into the living room from the hall way". I quickly load up my tools and leave my apprentice there. I call my boss to have him come pick him up and, since we have plumbers and HVAC guys at our shop, call the plumber boss to see if he can get anyone to come by.

20 minutes later and I'm home. Theres a 1/4" of water through most of the house. I throw the breaker to the well and release the dump valve in the pressure tank. Turns out that her grandad didn't think I wired the pressure tank controls right (keep in mind I'm an electrician) so he redid it it and sent ALL the power through the pressure switch. Well, it didn't like that and welded the contacts shut. Water WILL find a way out. It found it in the hall bath terlet and wershin machine connection. On opposite ends of the house. Shopvac'd it all up and all was well.

Long story short, her grandad was a dumbass and flooded our 5 year old house.

With her now being the ex wife, I am a renter. It's nice. I just call when something breaks and a dude shows up and fixes it while I'm not here.

Jeez, our house was completed one month before I was born.

20 minutes is a LONG time to deal with a water leak regardless of size of pipe. In your case, 2 leaks. Due to the dumbassery.

I've seen the damage contacts welded shut can do at work on a 240V, 1500W heater circuit. Very dangerous.

We have extrusion lines at work that make the raw weatherstrip. They have waterlines for various processes that have ¾", 2", and 5" lines... leaks there are VERY fun.

In the ceiling of the plant (40' up) there is a 9 inch, Schedule 40, glycol loop being driven by three 750 hp electric motors...

(Glycol is basically anti-freeze, but with less water content)

All the elbows, valves, basically 80% of the connections leak...

If one ever finally completely goes... its going to be very, very bad. Most of us in maintenance has URGED the office to replace a section at a time annually during our shutdown.

The office doesn't see the point, meanwhile we all know it's just a time bomb...
