Maybe try spraying the threads with some silicone lube or PB blaster and let it sit over night to see if you can turn the preload adjusters before taking them to a shop. It sucks! This is the exact reason I haven't put my new springs and AAL's on yet and they have been sitting in my garage for a year. I have 600lb springs now that I cant get to budge.

I have experienced the Texas heat you speak of, I had family in San Antonio. Ceramic tint bro-man. It's expensive but either 50% or 70% the whole windshield, you won't even notice it's there and the heat rejection is higher than 5% tint. Added benefit is 99% UV rays blocked, that's the stuff that damages our interior.

They’re iBoards, 5” I believe. Didn’t cost much, but sturdy and have held up well to being used daily by my kids and wife. I even left off the middle bracket to keep them as minimal and sleek as possible, no issues.

I got them on eBay and used a coupon they had, I think I paid around $150-$200 if I remember correctly.

Browsed around for new injectors out of curiosity. Toyota on Big Gurll wants $140 for a set of 2-hole injectors. Quantity: six.

Densoautoparts.com could not find a match for my truck. Thought this was odd. Tried searching under Tacoma V6 3.4L Still no match. Very weird.

Gave Keith from @dirtydeeds a call today. Very knowledgeable guy, and staff on hand there. I asked him, and staff questions which may have been dumb to them, but I genuinely didn't know. Keith, and staff were patient, and answered my questions. Even had some just BS conversation. Very interesting to hear about life on the other end of the US over the phone.

Decided Denso units with the 2-hole were not the way to go. Decided to go with Keith's recommendation. 12- hole injectors here I come. (in 2-3 weeks. They don't get a lot of V6 orders apparently.)

Question for the Pros out there who have the Tacoma with the V6. Is there anything else I will need that could be recommended? I've seen a few videos of the injectors being changed out. The video-tographer never said anything about specialty items. Maybe a good question for @empty_lord, @bmf4069, or @Darkness?

No special parts that’s I know of, but the ol HM did a really good write up, I’m not sure if it’s close to the same set up as the V6, but worth looking over.

The intake plenum has to come off.. not a bad idea to replace the 2 intake manifold gaskets

Will do. The other dirtydeeds thread Keith had said that his injectors were 16 hole originally. When I called today he said that they recently changed the design down to 12 holes. I asked if that would make a significant difference from 16 to 12. On an upgrade from 2-hole to 12-hole he said it really didn't matter. lol

As far as the intake manifold gasket, OEM the best there? I know that seems to be the general consensus on seals of any type... Figured I would ask.

Oem. They’re cheap enough. Technically reusable. But at the age, wouldn’t try it

After work, I installed the rear fender flares after a healthy dose of fluid film. No rust please!

I crawled under and fluid filmed the tar out of the inside of the outer skin.

Forgot to mention. On the wiring harness today I removed a lot of old, not sticky tape. Replaced with new Super 88 electrical tape. Taped up a lot of the frame clips that had come loose when I removed them from frame. Removed my 4-pin trailer harness, and stashed in a puppy proof location.

I think that @lsaami and I can both attest that rust is a problem for any VEHICLE.

Besides, weren't you hating on toyota, like yesterday?

Yea i get that, but do me a favor this weekend and look at all of the dodge rams with rusted out fenders. It is a longstanding well known joke about dodges. It happens to them more than any brand

Amateur finger model. Thank you kindly.

No, work on the truck ONLY. If I get called back to work say, Tuesday. I'll be driving the chevy that has more zipties holding it together than anything else I've ever seen. Not the designers fault, our fault for hitting deer, and just not fixing it correctly.

The floor pans are rusted out, and you can see the road beneath you. One wrong bump, and I may end up in a bucket seat sliding down Us 68-80 at sixty-five miles per hour screaming for my life.

That shiny hole is where the bed was bolted to the frame. Look at the rot through on both ends of the cross bars. They put that back on a new frame. I replaced this with a clean step-side I found in the same color.

It affects neglected Toyotas as well.
yep. She’s in rough shape. New frame though, and that’s why it’s worth saving. I have new fenders and doors to install yet.
