My neighbors literally just gave me these. Their father collected them and they told me they were WWI Turkish pistols. IMG_1500.jpg IMG_1501.jpg IMG_1502.jpg IMG_1503.jpg If anybody has any idea how old they are or more about them, I'd love to know.

If they’re not reproduction, they’re probably earlier that that as flint lock use really waned before WW1

I'm pretty sure they would be originals. Two brothers, neither one has to work, their dad was pretty well off. Both their dad and mother liked to collect antiques.

I looked up the flintlock and the internet says it was replaced by a percussion trigger system in WWI. I need to read some more because I'm not sure how to tell the difference between the two.

They are good guys. I'm lucky to have them as neighbors and friends.

Pretty easy to tell the difference once you look at the action

    Very cool gift for sure

Check with some auction houses for potential value or restoration if it’s worth it

Thanks - okay, they are definitely flintlock (I had to look at a picture). The trigger works on one, is loose on the other and it looks like a bolt may have been inserted on that one to keep the hammer or whatever from striking. They'll be cool to display.

Took my 6 year old out for his first time shooting a firearm with our Ruger 10/22. It’s been years since I shot it and had forgotten how much fun that little .22LR is. The only modification it has it a Tech sight with the rear peep. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out why the photo is coming up sideways.

I was finally able to go to the range last week, it was strange having only 4 people in a 16 lane indoor gun range, I kind of felt like having the range to myself, it was fun.

Amid all this pandemic there is still a few deals here and there. Went into Smoky Mountain Guns & Ammo in Sevierville, TN. I love going in there and if you look around they have some really really good deals. They are priced better than about anywhere. I was looking for the wife and was looking at the Sig p238. They had this Sig p238 for $399.00. That is $200 less than anywhere else. Swapped out the grips for some Hogue black rubber grips. They had 6 left. Went back the next day and they were all gone!!!!

    I've bought from them before

I left my department in 2016, and in 2018 they swapped to new pistols

It took some digging but they ended up with the surplus Glock 22s and my good fortune, they had my serial number

I got a better deal from them than the officers who purchased from the local FFL after reserving their pistols thru the department

Awesome!!! I was actually in there today buying some ammo. I really like Sig Sauer ammo and they have the 50 round boxes for $4 cheaper than anyone else. Bought 5 boxes or 250 rounds of .380 ACP so my wife can have it for her concealed carry class next month.
