shit. I’ll make sure i get the 9.5”. I noticed there were two options on their website. I’m also missing the icon bottom bearing bolt thing for one of the rear shocks. Some kind of special joint bolt or something. Pivot bushing maybe?

    54. Didn’t want to deal with the extended brackets. Also figured I could slide chase light mounts in the end of the rail with the 54. But I don’t have room for that anyways with the distance I want the rack from the bed.

58 would be nice just for more mounting space on the sides now that I realize I can’t fit the chase lights where I had intended.

TC long travel. Deaver 420 SU leaf packs.
Just so you know, U'bolts are one and done, they're not intended to be reused. After installing new ones they'll need to be checked and re-torqued several times.

Yes need to get the torque specs from icon as well. What do you mean by one and done? Just that every new adjustment you should be using new bolts?

Any time you add or replace leafs. Once you back off the bolts, don’t use em again.

Ahhh. Didn’t realize that. Well I’ll be ordering the icon bolts tomorrow so that should be good. Does anyone know the torque specs?

U bolts? I’ve been ordering/buying from these guys for 25 plus years. High quality grade 8 and literally have every u bolt in stock, cheap also. I select regular shipping every time, and they always send 2nd day air to me.

Better without Icon lol. I’m kidding, but they probably want you to re use u bolts and center pins though, no thanks. The u bolt place sells center pins also.

It seems that it was a good decision not to swap out the bumpers on my truck. This was with a full fuel tank and the tools that I normally carry in the toolbox:

Eventually, yes I will. For now I'm just going to replace the stock springs with another set of stock springs I got for real cheap. I'm really glad that I didn't throw the entire steel plate armor and bumper catalog at the truck. It's really amazing how small changes can add up quickly...

Tiny update. All my bed rack stuff is finally here. But last weekend when I was doing the leafs I caught my thumb pretty bad on a jack stand.
So may wait until I can properly grip a tool to get it all set up.

also ordered the Sdhq bed mount for a full 5th. Just lays flats and has a strap and three hooking plates.

also also ordered the icon u bolts. Can’t wait to get those in to feel confident again. But really should get someone to give it a once over and make sure everything is properly torqued.

also getting a small vibration from full stop to ~10 mph. From what I read it seems I need some sort of drop bracket?

@typeone I also a slight shutter/vibration at take off. I ordered a Coachbuilder carrier bearing drop kit. It is a super easy install and no more vibration.

What exactly does that do? Will it takes away from any clearance? My lift?

What happens if down the road I step down to option 2? And still have the bigger spacers?

Start with the shorter kit on the carrier bolt (rear lift 0-2 inches) and see if that works. If the vibration you are having is slight then the 0-2 should work.

makes sense. It really isn’t about the actual lift just more about the vibration. And they assume higher lift would be more vibration?

In the park, we explored a bunch of the cool sights and jumped on the short dirt trails inside that peel off and connect back to the main roads. But on the way home I wanted to check Covington Flats for a bit. Drove up the trail 5 or so miles and let loose, it was getting late and I was hangry, so flipped it back. I’d like to head out there again and run those trails in full some other time.
