    Had twin Mercedes today.

The Mazda's paint was absolute garbage but it was a daily driver. Had a grimey interior so I had the opportunity to try Powerlock (with the 3 hour cure time) then a Collinite 845 waxing. Holy hell the car looks unreal for how badly scratched and water stained the paint is. 10/10 recommend.

I don't think Powerlock gets the credit it deserves. Its honestly probably better than anything else I use, I should use it more...

Pictures dont do it justice but the paint is absolutely marred. They didnt care for a correction because its just a commuter but wanted some good end results. It's definitely a pain to apply (compared to other stuff I use) but wipe off is an absolute breeze. The customer saw it before the Collinite and loved it, and it only got better.

I love Powerlock. It is more of a pain to apply, but only compared to spray products. It’s no more difficult than using paste wax. It may just be my imagination, but it makes grey look better than anything else does.

Earned many pin stripes and some fairly serious scratches on an overgrown high mountain trail last weekend. Yesterday spent about 4 hours doing a full correction and detail. Some scratches still present if you look really, really, really close.

    Steps taken:

    1: Hand wash

2: Wipe down with microfiber cloth and distilled water

3: Clay bar (Meguiar's quick detailer and bar)

4: Wipe down with Chemical Guys Wipe Out and a quality microfiber cloth

5: Chemical Guys V36 DA polish.

6: Wipe down with Chemical Guys Wipe Out and a quality microfiber cloth.

7: Chemical Guys V38 DA polish.

8: Wipe down with Chemical Guys Wipe Out and a quality microfiber cloth.

9: Meguiar's Cleaner Wax hand applied and hand buffed off with a quality microfiber cloth.

This is why paint correction and a full exterior detail costs $500 +

The results are fantastic. I usually do this twice a year with both of my vehicles.

For my tires I use Griot's Black Satin

For front and rear lights, all black trim I use F11 Topcoat.

The 4runner has been abused lately with frequent weekend trips and lots of spring trails. Thought I'd show her some lovin'

The paint was super receptive to 3D One. Except for a few spots where someone side swiped the vehicle in a parking lot, you would have thought a multistage was done for how bad the swirling was and the end result shown in the end of the vid (2013 with 100k miles, never corrected or even waxed).

Just added a bottle to my autogeek cart. Waiting for fathers day sale to pull the trigger. What do you apply as a topcoat? Can I use power lock or reload over it?

Yeah just IPA wipe and apply whatever you want. I used Meguiar's M27 (hybrid ceramic wax). Been really enjoying that product lately.

I've been using 3D Speed and 3D One a lot lately for my AIO or One Stage customers and people are really enjoying the results. If you use Speed, just let them know it has fillers (as most AIO's do) that will dissipate over time. I just looked at that Ram Rebel I did a month or so ago and it still looks phenomenal so it doesn't seem to me that there are as many fillers in AIO's as people like to complain about. Fillers are just a biproduct of the lubricating oils used in AIO polishes.

6 cars the past few days. Wont bore ya with the regular shine pics. But this thing was pretty sweet. 2019 5.0. Headers back, supercharged, tuned, running Cam 2 on the tune (a million other things done to it). Owner is a friend and let me swing it around the block before cleaning it....scary as f*ck to drive it. It's a rocket ship. Gave him shit for the go fast mods and still running stock rotors. They look like shit after only 3k miles lol....

Finished up the cquartz on this one today now it sits in the AC for a few days to cure. It rains everyday for hours down here this time a year so gonna keep her dry for a few. Damn truck looks great but I’m so tired of white. Got a grey 4Runner trd pro to do this weekend another cquartz application can’t wait to see how that turns out A8E12F65-733B-49B5-818F-74660C0C288F.jpg 5C01D32E-B276-4E00-A47E-AA76082557D6.jpg

I’m starting to have a collection of 100ml reloads. They come with the cquartz kits I order and I always use my bottles on the shelf. Guess I got stocking stuffers for the crew.

Pretreated everything with 3:1 APC (helps remove light oxidization), Rust Aid dilute 3:1 for staining, Davis Instruments FSR for the worse off stains, Clorox bleach 10:1 for a mildew remover (windows, vents, drainage). Foamed with CG Snow Foam and washed with Meg's Gold Class. Hit dark water stains with the Dewalt rotary, LC blue hybrid wool pad (8 inch), and some 3M Finesse polish (specific for this application). Finished with Meg's Flagship paste wax. Top rubberized roofing was washed and finished with Starbrite nonskid deck wax (meant for boats).
