Installed tail light and third brake light LEDs. The third brake light bulb strobes a few times before staying lit lol. Lovely.

Which bumper is that? I love the slim, less is more, “watch me go where ever the hell I want” shape... not a huge fan of the ranch hand styles.

Installed Stillen CAI. Made an interesting observation about unplugging the battery...

The instructions didn’t specify to unplug the battery, so I didn’t. Installed the CAI, took it for a spin, and was pretty impressed. Sounded better, and the throttle response felt like a less touchy Tow/Haul mode.

Got home, watched some TV, and figured since the instructions were lacking in some other areas, maybe the lack of battery disconnect was an oversight as well. So I decided to unplug it for a couple hours.

I run the truck again, and it had a really low idle. Maybe 400rpm. Some odd behavior was to be expected, at least it didn’t stall like I see happening to some others. But when doing a mix of city & highway driving, it felt worse than it did before I installed the CAI. Granted I was running the airflow accelerator and the K&N intake tube with a TRD filter before I put the Stillen in, it felt sorta like I went back to stock.

Which got me to thinking, I see reviews here and there about how this or that intake dropped some torque, etc. and made me wonder if that feeling wasn’t from the intake itself but from the ECU reset?

Anyways I’m sure it’ll get back to where it was, I hope it doesn’t take too long to relearn. I was just kinda surprised that a reset made my performance worse whereas I see most others saying it made theirs better.

    :monocle:

At least the reset got SiriusXM working again, lol.

Yeah it reset your fuel trims. It will take some miles to get back to normal. You wont get an accurate mpg reading for a bit.

My bad. The tow hooks on my old Titan couldn't be missed. They stuck out of the front like a couple of snaggle teeth. I looked closer, behind my step bar/skid plate, and saw them. This is not the first time I have been pleasantly surprised that Toyota has standard equipment that you have to pay extra for with other trucks!

If you still have the original center console tray insert and are willing to part with it I’d be interested

I just wiped down with alcohol. Primer and the red rustoleum. Nothing super fancy since it’s gonna get messy down there.

yeah with the lift in front it’s a little lower in the rear than when the front was stock. I only tow long distances maybe a couple times a year but may look into it

its a nice little boat, more than adequate for what we use it for and that mercury 4 stroke is and AMAZING engine. Super smooth and quite....when it’s in idle you can barely tell it’s running and you can have a normal conversation when cruising. Trimmed out just right with a couple people in the boat in can get about 55 mph out of it.....unfortunately got into a rock or something yesterday and had to have the prop replaced

Had a puddle under my left front end 2 mornings ago when I was parked on a steep slope with the drivers side on the low end and looked like something had been sprayed on the front of my truck....parked on a flatter space and nothing then parked on the slope again and same thing. Came to the dealer here in Hot Springs at 7:30 and they are saying looks like something impacted it....waiting to hear from warranty, $850 repair if not.....what do y’all think, could that be from a rock or something hitting it? You can see the coolant stream in the center of red circle when put under pressure.

Chris, what rims are those? Also, I noticed you're in Utah (as am I). We can't legally tint the windshield, can we?
