Welp.. Farewell My Friends- Switch to 2020 Ram 2500 Mega Cab

Welp.. the time has come. I successfully sold the Tundra and have replaced it with a boat hahah This truck is massive and i love it. Still getting use to driving it as its so much longer.

I will miss all the literal blood, sweat and tears I put into the Tundra, but i can wait to start this build. I'll (try to) keep it a little more low key this time. I already took the 4x4 sticker off lol This is my first diesel, so I'm still learning alot.

I gotta say, if the Tundra ever upgrades the interior, i would strongly consider changing back, BUT, the interior on this RAM is far superior to any others IMO.

Interior:

• The 12" ucconnect is awesome and so easy to use. Very very clear resolution with screen mirroring
• Leather Vented and heated seats
• Heated Steering wheel
• Remote Start
• Recline-able rear seats
• Huge Storage compartment in console
• Wireless phone charges
• 12V DC power and 2 115V AC power outlets
• Sun roof

Exterior:

• LEDS everywhere
• Blind spot monitoring
• Powerfold mirrors
• Flip to Tow mirrors
• Parking sensors front and rear
• Auto Windsheild wipers
• Paint matched bumpers
• Headlights move when turning (extra light to see curbs)
• Anytime backup cam

The plan is 4-6" air ride suspension and 24s on 37s, but who knows. Getting it tinted this week as well as replacing a some bulbs with better/brighter LEDs.

I'm sure I'll still be stalking the Tundra page, so ill still answer messages and comments.

i picked up the laramie as well, with the midnight package. So black badges, headlights, and taillights

 

Heated steering wheel and flip to tow mirrors would be nice but not nice enough to take the reliability hit to switch to a Ram. The Tundra already has a huge centre console. Meh to everything else.

At least you went for a Cummins. As long as your transmission holds up and your 12" screen doesn't cut out, you shouldn't have too many issues.

 

Those mega cab back seat space is amazing and the seats fold down flat which is awesome

 

I guess I didn't take a close enough look at the one they had at the car show last year because it didn't look that spacious to me.

 

Congrats on the new truck! I love diesels (I won't open that can of worms here, but I do wish Tundra had one). The Cummins is my favorite of all the diesels.
That midnight package on the white looks good (although that's kind of an oxymoron LOL )

oh sweet. See i didint even think about the fog light illuminating. I was shuffeling cars around this morning and i couldnt see a damn thing in the back up camera. My tundra had aftermarket LEDS, so it was more than enough light. hoping to be able to do that in this situation.

I'm trying not to look at many mods right now, but its very difficult.

I genuinely hope the truck treats you well; personally, I'm not sure I could ever go to a Ram, no matter how much I like the engine. Owned a Ram in the mid 2000's; 17 trips to the dealership later (in 45K miles) I had to get rid of it.
