My new color matched hood bulge has a lip and rough edges where it meets the hood. Is this normal?

    I don't think that's normal.
Can you contact the seller to see what they say?

Did you buy it through a dealer or e-bay type seller? I have been wanting to get an extra hood bulge to play with (I have an idea to modify it filling in the scoop, but that's another story) and have looked at the e-bay ones, and the reviews noted issues like this. If you got it from a dealer it should definitely not look like that.
Although, you will probably be the only person to ever notice it.

I was able to get in contact with Roman who I purchased from....he says that he checked their current inventory as well as some that are already installed on their trucks on the lot and they all appear to be this way. Toyota quality checking? It's not too noticeable depending on the light. I am hoping that it won't be a spot for future paint chipping. Thank you all for the replies!

Also bought mine from Roman a few weeks ago and don't have this issue. Strange!
