Nothing major at all but I'm tickled.
Last summer we had all the trees cut down including a scraggly crepe myrtle that never got enough sunlight because the trees. so cutting the grass lately I notice something other than grass trying to grow, closer look, it's that crepe myrtle. So I went got a bag of mulch and some edging, figure if it's trying to recover let's see what it'll do.

yeah I got one of those 100 yard yards...
But what got me tickled was when I put the mulch down those leaves were barely visible. Now they are a good 5" above the mulch and there's some more busting through.

Set up a little 4 camera system in the garage. Had to pack up mother in law stuff from assisted living so ran out of time. Plan to point cameras better tomorrow.

So with the hole covid thing at the shop. Customers just walk right in after we tell them to wait in the waiting area. Sign says STOP and they still walk in. So had to make some adjustments

We refinished the deck a few weeks ago. Used a product called Defy Extreme. We used the stain stripper and wood brightener from the same company. I can't comment on the longevity, but the hydrophobic properties are good. To use a detailing term.

Saw these a while back and wanted to get them but forgot. Ended up seeing a single at Homedepot for around $12 and purchased to try it out. Gets pretty dark on this side of the house. Thanks for the recommendation.

    Well,
More like what happened this week...
Gas dryer drum shattered, super super thin stainless. Can’t weld it.
Been using 8awg as temporary clothes lines.

Then the steam washer, saddened by the suicide of its tumble dryer friend decided to “cry” all over the floor.

    ALL Night.

Then...got a new garage door installed (poorly) on Tuesday.
Been fighting with door company to fix it.

Meanwhile... some rats decided to have a buffet on the new door’s floor seal/weather stripping.

    So,

Friday afternoon I hired a 10” floor grinder.
Took out a huge floor hump.
Today I swept, cleaned, wet ragged the area and just put 1st coat of primer on floor.
I’ll be doing a 2nd coat in 30mins then pouring the self leveling.

Just so I can close my Effin’ garage door and keep the wee whiskered effer’s out!!

    So, pretty much outta pocket;
$3790 for wife’s new dream laundry set. LG signature jumbo with pedestals.

    $950 for garage door

$491 so far for garage floor leveling.

Garage door company owner coming out tomorrow to remedy shit install.

Do you have the whole self leveling toolkit?
Things can go downhill fast with those types of products, especially on a sloped surface.

I cleaned white 2 inch blinds, 1 slat at a time, from noon to 17:30.
They had too much stuck on dust to vacuum it off.
A small sponge and bucket of soapy water...
Cleaned both sides of the window glass too.
3 big windows, kitchen and living room, and the back door.
The blinds look brand new like they did 13 years ago....

Wife was off shopping and getting her hair did..
Fine with me, I get more done when she isn't here to interrupt me..:D

Gave it a test run. Works awesome! Need to acid wash the bricks then cap the fireplace and walls with bluestone. I'll get the roof on at some point.

Thank god someone the wife knew gave her all the heartaches that come from owning a front loader, so when I said no front loader due to not wanting gallons of water held back by a small gasket and a shotty door latch she said ok.

Seriously, I've got a $10k Continental front loader at work and that thing leaks if the seal is slightly dirty. I never want one in my house.

Put those blinds right in the tub. Cover them with some soapy water and let them soak for a few minutes, then brush them. It works like a champ.

It's been 3 years since we did this last. Wasn't fun then either.

    After
    [IMG]

The tall ones in the back are not mine. Still some more to clean up but that'll come in time. Maybe a layer of mulch.

I gotta brag on the Stihl battery hedge trimmer (HLA 65). I had electric chain saw, gas chain saw, electric hedger and they all couldn't cut it. I broke out the Stihl thinking the battery would get me half way. Man was I wrong. We cut all that crap out, put the battery in the blower and cleaned up the drive and I still had 3 out of 4 lights on the power bar.
