I am a fan of the solid black ones. Especially on white but would work on all lighter colors.

Could you post a picture of your truck with the wheels. Are you going to apply it yourself.

It looks good on the white, My truck is still owned by the dealer and is silver with black rims when it is done.

Then I would go with black that accents your wheels, if your wheels are glossy go glossy, flat black if the wheels are flat black. It scares me to think about applying these without experience. Them if you go with glossy and get crazy like me(but the money won't let me) start adding black chrome everywhere except on the grill and chrome the grill out. That's what I want to do with the Red Freighter.

That's about $10 worth of vinyl wrap. Just buy a sheet of wrap and save yourself about $100. Applying wrap is very easy to do.

Or plastidip, forget if I have a pic up yet, but way cheaper, mines been durable since you arn't scraping stuff with it. On other forums read how competitive vinyl market supposedly is and bad markup, that price seems a bit inflated. If it was $40-$50 I might reconsider over the $15 in plasti and time/effort.

Unfortunately, I don't have a pattern for the hood inserts. I did take a look at the listing, it is a high quality vinyl that he said he's using. However, in my experience, the adhesive on it is a little light. I've seen problems with it lifting on the edges because the adhesive isn't aggressive enough. I have had the least amount of troubles with 3M materials.
When I did the ToyTec Tundra I laid out the design that I wanted directly onto the hood with knifeless tape and trimmed the vinyl in place.
The hood inserts are something that I want to add to my product line, however I don't have a program made for them yet. Hopefully in the near future.
There are a few people selling those online. The quality of the material should be the first priority. I've found 3M works the best for my products. Great durability, great adhesion, plus the air egress makes installation easier.

I was just thinking about plasti-dipping this just this morning! What would you do on a black truck though?

I had my hood and bed vinyl done by my tinting shop. 16K miles and still looking good.

This link shows how they do it.

That's how it's done. Not too hard to do. If you can lay down pin striping or fine line tape it would be pretty easy for you. The biggest difference is the knife less tape doesn't stretch around curves like other tapes do.

@AFM Graphics you really need to get a pattern for the hood insert. I am potentially looking.

IMG_0083.jpg I had my hood and all 4 bumper corners wrapped in vinyl. I love it. Was worried about bumpers but they're holding up good!

As long as it is painted surface, wrap vinyl should have no problem sticking. That is how they wrap the whole car or truck. The durability is now depend on the skill level of the installer and the brand of material.

Doctor!! This post is still breathing! Very shallow...and YES! We have a pulse!!

So I finally go the nerve to do the hood decal from scratch. In less than an hour and a steady hand with the knifeless tape! Not too bad if I say so myself.

Ok, so at first I thought no way, but now you all have me wondering how it would look on my Inferno . . . ?

Also, thoughts on vinyl vs plasti-dip on this?

I think it would look badass on inferno!!

I’ve always been a huge fan of plasti-dip, but with an exposed edge I think the vinyl is a little better option.
