Went to Sand Hollow for the first time last year for a side by side rally. I love that place. I "broke in" my new to me Honda at the time.

Feeler: anyone looking for SDHQ sliders? Bought from one of their employees. Not sure I want to install them. They’re just getting in the way lately. I’ll entertain reasonable offers via PM.

There was alot of razor, quads and jeeps out there. Sand Hollow was awesome!!! Way better than Moab by a long shoot. In fact we do a week trip every year to moab for jeeping but we will do sand hollow for now on

The best part of Sand Hollow is there's something for everyone, we seen alot of trucks wheeling as well as jeep and quads. Also theres a lake for boating and jetskis. Theres class 6 through 10 rock crawling and theres also dunes!!! I highly recommend going.

Hi, Tom here down in Vail. I have a 2015 MGM Tundra SR5 DC. About 50K milage, no offloading to speak of. I picked up the 2018 LED headlights and the harness from iHacker here on the forum. Big thanks to him for the quick reply and delivery of a quality item. I'm looking for a local shop in or around Tucson that you would trust and recommend to install the new headlights. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Only place that comes to mind is Desert Rat on 22nd, but have no experience with them. Thanks in advance.

They are not that hard to install on your own. I did the same thing about 6 months ago. No special tools are needed

These are the Baja Design sport wide angle with brackets from @Bannock452. They work awesome and they don’t rattle like other kits. Baja Designs sells a kit but the housings still rattle from what I’ve heard. You can buy the lights and the appropriate wiring harnesses directly from Baja Designs and they are plug n play. Highly recommend this approach.

It isn't that hard at all. In fact, you'll need to lie (to wife) and work very slowly to prolong the garage/beer drinking time.

Curious to get your thoughts guys...

I bought my ‘16 SR5 back in October, have really loved it so far. There are only two things I dislike about it:

    1) It’s 2WD, which I knew when I bought it. At the time I didn’t think I needed 4WD. I’m still not sure I “need” it, but I’ve had a lot of fun with the truck so far and could see myself doing more off-roading in the future. Not sure how often I’d use it, but don’t want to feel limited without it either.

    2) I have the 26 gallon gas tank. I didn’t know this when I bought it, my fault for not doing more research. Not a huge deal breaker, but it would be nice to have the bigger tank for weekend getaways.

I’m debating about already trading in for a 4WD and bigger tank. The only catch is I need the bench seat up front, which is harder to come by.

Am I being crazy? How often do y’all use 4WD around here? How difficult is the 38 gallon upgrade?

I don't believe Toyota makes a Tundra that has both the 38 gallon tank and the bench seat so I think you would have to DYI for that specific combo. From what I've seen, you're better off going aftermarket than doing a swap to OEM 38.

Financially I'd say keep your truck and do the transfer flow tank if you want more capacity. You will use that tank all the time. As for the 4wd I'm nearing 60k miles and have yet to use mine once. You can make it a lot of places with good tires and choosing the right lines.
