I have that security sensor in my 2020 limited. Does that mean that it’s already functioning or do I need to do that tech stream to make it work?

I just installed one on a 2020 Tundra, you may need to remove the panel by the driver side floor and turn up the sensitivety to max. Like everyone said get inside and clap your hands. I didn't think mine was working when taping on the glass with keys. However the other day my alarm kept going off and couldn't figure why. Well I had some empty jelly jars and had pushed all the lids down. They were slowly popping back up and setting the alarm off. I still need to attach my hood sensor, perhaps this weekend. Now if there was only a level sensor alarm or if it would send me a message in the Toyota App that would be cool.

here is how i manage to enable my alarm system on my tundra 2018 CM sr5 with the shifter on the wheel column as first I enable the alarm in techstream but it did not work trayed everything and nothing but reading i did realize on my tundra the hood sensor was missing and the alarm horn relay also was missing so first i ordered a new relay Replace parts number]: 90080-87026, 90987-02027
and I did remove the dommy plug cover from the hood sensor wire and jumped with a peace of wire to make the ecu think the hood was closed.. and boo ya now is working. now the i know is working I will order a hood switch sensor on Amazon to completed to system.
here is the link for the relay is the same as A/C relay it just cost 7 bucks. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YG2GKVP?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
and for the hood latch switch you can get the whole latch assemble here https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/...fJsWBSbatxrC3pih24U2CiEiODLzO19RoCfc0QAvD_BwE
for 44 bucks but I'm cheap and I am looking just for the switch the I know it will fit on the hood latch.

Could you elaborate a little more about the alarm horn relay? I have a 2018 SR5 DC with bench seat and column shifter. Installed the kit and activated in techstream but cannot get it to work.

did you remove the dommy plug by the hood latch and jump the two contacts? it need to be done. and if you open up the fuse box under the hood you will see if you are missing the alarm horn relay if the spot is empty order the relay and installed.

I just received the relay today and will try to install this weekend. Hoping that the relay was the missing link to getting the GBS working.

Installed the relay and the GBS kit today. Verified that the alarm works now. Might have to up the sensitivity on the GBS since I had to clap pretty hard to set it off. Opening the door when the alarm is armed also sets off the alarm. Thanks for the tip.

Anyone know if the GBS is able to pick up the noise of a sawzall cutting exhaust pipes? Wondering if this might be a good add on for catalytic converter theft deterrent.

Just to confirm, if I have the alarm installed and working already (SR5 Upgrade Package) all I need to have the glass breakage alarm function is to install the glass breakage sensor/module (ie no further activation needed)?

Should be, that's what I did with my 2018, before I sold it I pulled it out and installed it in my 2020. It's all plug and play.

Just finished doing it on my 2020 SR5. Plug and play. There are 2 part numbers for the tundra. One is for the 07-13 and 1 for the 14-21. I bought the 07-13 not knowing there was one for the 14+. Only difference is that the 07+ doesn’t bring the hood latch jumper. I just jumped the wires out myself with a pin.

I installed this same item on my 2011 CM and was searching for the same for my 2016, but all dealerships states the item is discontinued.
Am I searching the wrong part number?

Just installed pt39834142, already had hood switch, just popped in mic and the brain. Good to go, no tech stream registration was needed. Very easy and affordable.

Yep, I meant to just ask for just the year of your truck. Thanks. I'm looking for a part number for a 2010 and I'm getting mixed results on what fits and doesn't.

So... does the PT393-30120 fit in your 2011? I found the part but the automated thingy says not compatible with my 2010. Thanks in advance. Just trying to save myself a return.
