Cut freq is your hp crossover. Mine is at 80 but I also have my amp at 80 for my front and rear channels. For my sub setting it's on and g all the way up. However it doesn't make a difference on mine whether up or down. As long as it's on mine is good, but the level makes no noticeable difference. I don't use phat.
And yes I'm using a bass knob which is what I control my subs with.

That is insane. Other than the SUB settings, you and I have the same exact settings.

Replaced the motherboard last night. Wasn't easy, but wasn't hard. I'd put it on par with basically building a computer from scratch.

Sound is back 100%, had to re-map my steering wheel keys and I couldn't get the buttons on the screen to work - but after Dasaita sent me a how-to video I realize I was trying to map them wrong.

So, they held up their end of the warranty and I have my awesome headunit back 100%.

Hi. I am currently messaging back and forth with Dasaita to confirm which connections come with the unit. I already let them know I have a 16 Tundra with JBL. It's not going well. Can someone here who recently purchased the unit confirm what comes with it and based on your install experience, share what you still needed to order?

On a separate note, has anyone actually installed a side view camera? If so, how's the performance? Have you figured a way to activate it with a turn signal?

    Thanks in advance!

Just ordered both from aliexpress. Out the door for unit and canbus was $409. June 11th for the unit and June 20th for the canbus...maybe vice-versa.

I'm getting 467 for the unit with carplay. That site is too confusing. So many damn options on same head unit.

I just received mine from Amazon today. I need to get Canbus adaptor harness. Daisata store say they will ship it for free but need me to pay shipping cost. They don't know how much it is to ship.

I had the same message from them. Told me it was "free" but that I had to pay shipping for 59.99. I said no since it was being sold for that price on eBay and I could get it cheaper on Amazon. Also said members on this forum have gotten it free with free shipping. Iris responded by offering it free and no shipping. I had already ordered everything from aliexpress for much less than just buying the unit on Amazon.

Ah, I did not order the carplay version. However, that model (carplay) with the Toyota port before discounts is 412.65. I ordered from the dasaita store.

Did you order the gps cables and coax too? They made it sound like it was not needed. Just the canbus and harness.

Based on what everyone else ordered, I have them waiting in my Amazon cart. I planned on waiting for the unit and canbus to come in to see what's inside. Since the items from Amazon will only take a couple of days to arrive, no biggie. However, I suspect they will be needed. I am also purchasing a front cam, dvr windshield mount cam and side cams (blind spot) to mount under the side view mirrors. The latter will be activated by my turn signals using the device from iBeam. From what I've researched, when the turn signal is activated, the corresponding side will display on the unit. Most importantly, i ordered the complete JL system from James at tech12volts. Currently, I am researching cld, ccf and mlv for sound deadening and "proofing" for lack of better words. My plan is to follow the lead of some of our fellow forum members and strip my CM down to the sheet metal and do her right! I just headed to the lakehouse in the poconos for the long weekend...boat in tow. The road noise from the tires exhaust, etc. has me wanting to quiet everything down quite a bit.

Nice. I ordered the plug and play sub upgrade from James and the head unit. The sub has great reviews in itself. Hopefully those two will improve the stereo to get me by to get together a little more money fir the sound proofing, speakers, amp. I may just do a piece at a time starting with the proofing and the amp at a later date. This is my first time with installing all this radio stuff so I'm going to do it slowly which will hopefully get me familiar with how everything works as a whole. I also got the remote start from james which should be here any day now. Gotta let the dust from the bank account settle lol. Enjoy your vacation! I'll update everything as its installed.

So the unit arrived today. Dont think the canbus was included like it was supposed to be. Also it appears that some wire connections have to be made. Is this correct? Thought it was all plug and play. Thanks.

Hey there, new to the forum.

I did a quick search but came up blank... I just ordered the 10.2 rotatable screen for my 2008 Crewmax Limited (factory JBL system, nav system) and Dasaita (from Amazon) is telling me I need the CB005 canbus. I've read through a bunch of posts here and it looks like most everyone is getting the CB004 - just wondering if someone can verify that the CB005 is indeed the one I need. Thanks for the help!

I had one in my tacoma. The volume button on the knob wouldn't work about once every 3 months but all I had to do was restart my truck. The touch volume worked so it didnt bother me. I had it installed for 5 years and really liked it with movies and what not. Especially during football season and the wife's obsession with target and home goods I wouldnt complain cause id have Verizon fios hooked up

Is there a difference in the canbus for the rotating vs non-rotating? I'm not even sure what canbus I am running and we have very close trucks (2007 CM with JBL)

As far as I know, everything should be plug and play.

I had to wire a couple of connections for my truck as they didn't have a place to plug in due to not having it equipped from the factory:

    1) Reverse signal wire
    2) 12V CONST wired into ACC as the battery was constantly being drained
    3) Front camera had to be wired into power on the head unit

Everything else I just plugged in. And yeah, you were supposed to receive a rectangular box that is maroon/tan - I don't see it either.

I've been back and forth with Dasaita the last few days (through Amazon) and they've been adamant that my 2008 CM Limited needs the CB005 canbus and NOT the CB004... so I've ordered the CB005. It was shipped today (to Canada) so I'll post something once I get around to the install. Dasaita did send me a message stating that one customer couldn't get the factory JBL sub to work with the CB005 - anyone have trouble with the sub using the Dasaita plug-n-play stuff?

I noticed you have a column shifter (as do I). I’m curious as to how the clearance is with the handle and if it interferes with the unit at all. Thanks!

I have the sub behind my seats...well...I tossed the original one because the paper on top of the coil was blowing apart. I replaced with a aftermarket sub and while I can hear it, it doesn't add much to the truck. Granted - that is probably a good thing now, I have 3 kids under 5 that ride in the backseat and they probably don't want to be thumping on road trips.

Does your sub work really well?
