Courtesey of another member passing along a good deal I installed some (ok, just the passenger side) sdhq sliders today after removing my chrome side steps. It's too hot and my gas tank is full so the drivers side will need to wait until next weekend. Directions indicate the drivers side requires loosening the gas tank straps to push the tank over during install. Here are some pics of the passenger side installed.

After the successful install of Rago Fab's Dash Plate, I figured today I'd tackle the center console molle storage panels with the bridge plate. I figured it would be easier because I'd have to take less of the dash apart, but boy I couldn't of been more wrong.
It was easy on paper. Just take off the shifter panel and cup holder panel, drill eight holes, bolt the nuts, and ding the wings. The nuts were a pain to get on the bolts, and after some cursing, a few dropped nuts lost to the center console later, I finally got everything all tight and ready to rock.
I ran out of light so I only got a terrible picture.

Not high school prank dickhead loud, but louder than stock. I think it’s perfect. I rarely use my horn, a driver has to be a real prick for me to blast them.

Finally got around to changing the oil for the first time myself. Installed my Fumoto valve and swapped the filter housing to the aluminum one. The Motivx tool set helped a ton, and thankfully the plastic OEM one wasn’t torqued on too tight. Made a big mess doing it all, but learned a lot (thanks to this forum and the experience of others) and should have a pretty clean oil change next time.

Started to delete the chrome! Black door handles as well as color matched mirror caps. Tow mirrors worked great but going with stock mirrors for a while.

Unfortunately they are not available as separate parts/pieces outside of the whole door interior skin. :(

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/replacement-door-panel-trim.21581/#post-511559

However, they can be carefully separated from the door panel to either wrap or paint. I did mine and so did 2020Platinum. He has a video on it several pages back...

Thanks for finding that. I figured it would have to be the whole door panel.

I don't think door pieces can be separated. You have to replaced the whole door cover.

To be honest I did not like it at first. It has issues I do not like.
But after using it for a while. I cant imagine using anything else.

    The 3 step process,

    1-Noico 80mil CLD
    2-Duct insulation from Home Depot
    3-mass loaded Vinyl

It made a huge difference in cab noise. I can barely hear the exhaust which is good n bad lol.

    Hi, SiberianTundra!

The silver trim pieces can be gently, carefully separated (time and patience, very little skill) for painting or wrapping.

I was able to separate mine along with the interior door handles and a bunch of other pieces. Even the pesky steering wheel emblem and radio knobs that since have overlays. :)

I painted those pieces . Anything that was easily taken out I painted or wrapped. The radio piece was such a time consuming item I only wanted to do it once so I purchased the black piece

Changed the silver steering wheel parts to dark charcoal and the all important black volume button from a Tacoma wheel. It matches the radio bezel I got from an SR.
I’ll cover the chrome emblem later, looks way better.

4.25. Plenty big enough. If you rolled it out in the sun for an hour it would probably be less wrinkly .

If you mean the one on the lower left side of the steering wheel, some people get them out of tacos, or the newer tundras have the phone buttons there. It looks like that is what he has. Not sure of his truck's year, and I'm to lazy to dig, but if it's a new truck the phone button is black on them anyway.

Yeah. The volume up/down button on the left side. I just wrapped my controls and that is the only silver left. I would like to NOT have to buy the entire thing is it's not necessary.
