Looks good! It appears that they mount underneath the bed rail system, is there a recommended mounting point if you don't have those? Also if you have a toolbox that would block the front light, can you purchase just the sides?

The light illuminate the bed best when mounted under the rails. A tool box with a bed that has the rails works as the lights light up under the box.

I am happy to customize how ever you would like.

Here is a local TacomaWorld members custom job I did:

For the hood, do they just stick on underneath it? I worry, due to the elements, that they'd come off and fall into the engine bay. Any thoughts? You mentioned it comes with a hood pin, I'm sure that could easily be changed to a standard rocker switch, huh?

I replace the tape that the lights come with adding a high strength tape, the failure rate is extremely low. Yes the hood light kits include a hood pin switch that is mounted in an existing empty hole.

This was my first hood light kit back in 2012, lights are mounted directly over the engine/supercharger. Lots of heat and they never came off. I changed the mounting location to the top of the hood becuase the LEDs are a little blinding.

So the $60 comes with everything you need; lights, wiring, switch, etc.? How do you power them, just direct to the positive battery and then a ground?

Yes the inline fuse holder gets wired to the battery, the ground gets wired to the hood pin switch.

If you would prefer a regular switch, i can substitute for the hood pin switch.

If the hood light kit is purchased with bed light kit, the hood light kit is $50.

If the hood light kit is purchased by itself it's $60

Do you have pics of how the leds tie into each other and a layout of the wiring harness/switch setup?

I can definitely vouch for these. I bought a kit from Matt for my Tacoma about 3-4 years ago and it was top notch. Emailed him and asked if he made kits for Tundras and he did. Ordered a kit and he mailed them out the next day. Really good guy to work with and his lighting kits are awesome IMO

Looking forward to installing these next weekend!

So I installed them last night and it went well. Having a pro, the dual exhaust makes it a bit harder to install the switch and ground, but nothing major. Ran the power cord along the brake line up to the engine bay. The switch for me was prob the hardest part. Have to get the switch in blind basically and its a good way up the fender, but I really like where the switch is mounted- nice and tucked away. Overall I'm very happy with it, thanks again Matt. As far as output, which is brighter...the blue or cool white? I love the @Krezz mobile look but i also want a bright light. Also, how far off is the difference in color of those two. It doesn't look much different in the photos. I'm leaning toward the blue but your OP says special order on blue.
I'm going to purchase, i just need the info before i commit to a color.

Sorry I edited my post but not quick enough - I have the cool white color, not an actual blue light. The blue truck makes it look bluer than it probably is.
