anybody else had the face of their climate control panel start delaminating and coming up? Mine started around the aux port and has come up significantly. I even bought another panel on ebay hoping to have it look better and it is doing the same thing but on the far right side.

anybody seen this? any ideas on a fix or a new face skin?

Can you post photos of your panel? I also have an '07 but I don't think I'm having any issues.

On my sequoia, someone put a wood grain kit on the dash. When I pulled it off of the a/c panel I delaminated it. I used gorilla clear glue to secure it back down. I used the stuff that sets up quick.

thats a good idea I was thinking that might be an option. I just couldn't believe I was the only one that had this problem when the replacement I bought had it happening too.

Mine is bad in the corners, I guess finding a suitable used replacement is not at all easy.

I have the same problem on my left side by the blower control knob. I noticed it when replacing my radio.

I have always wondered if we could replace the 2007-2009 with the digital control modules from 2010+

@e30cabrio did I think. But I’m pretty sure it’s a Limited vs. SR5/Grade difference, not a model year difference.

That really sucks you can't just replace the face plate. The cost of a new unit is absolutely ridiculous. It's like having to junk an engine because of a bad manifold.
I've had issues with some Toyota parts before where they make you buy an whole unit rather than just selling a faulty part you could replace. I had a window regulator fail on a Camry several years ago. There was a simple plastic part that broke. Toyota could have easily sold the part by itself if they wanted to. No instead of offering a replacement part for easily less than $10, they make you buy the whole regulator for $300-$400. Assholes! I fixed it with some baling wire and it worked fine for more than 10 years.

Thats good. I may end up carefully prying mine off and re-glueing it on, I wonder if it is a heat issue with the laminate they use, or moisture caused. Very strange altogether....

Wow, I have the same issue, and just thought to myself this afternoon that this is the only blemish on an otherwise perfect interior. I imagine a pro interior shop can fix it, the question is if they can do it for a reasonable amount of money?
