2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
Lots of great feedback and options discussed here and the final decision is based on very individual needs and wants.
I’m not ever planning to have a fridge and probably won’t run many auxiliary lights. What I want is to have enough juice for several full load pulls with the winch in a circumstance that the engine has died.
For instance, stuck in a stream or creek.
I still have not decided what the best route is and I’m not immune to financial restraints!

Not too expensive and is what i would consider for a second battery isolater setup. Unless the application was to supplement a car audio system.
    https://www.powerstream.com/battery-isolator.htm

Ive never seen that particular isolater in action, but i do like the way it is 'supposed' to work.
Id say its got a 70% vibe to it that it is 85% legit..? Err.. Yeah..

I have that isolator and had it mounted under the hood. It seemed to flake out on me and I have since switched to a blue sea ACR. Talked with there tech support and it seemed to work when we did our test but it wasn't charging my second battery consistently. Will see if the blue sea does the same thing and I have a different issue.

theres an overland tundra build on youtube im having trouble finding but they made a mount where the windshield wiper fluid goes. it was awesome though..made from sheet metal and served a washerfluid holder using the stock pump and then the batter sat ontop of it.

    That pretty interesting. Good find.

Have you looked into any particular alternators yet? Its something i also would love to do in the near future. Ive looked briefly at the common brands like mechman, and dc.. Ect, but a few didnt offer prices online. Just curious.

I got an automated response that basically said there usually to busy to respond! And of course they didnt. I supported clay’s utube programs for a long time. After that response im just to busy to bother watching
I will just fab my own,

I am planning on buying the same set up from genesis. How long have you had it what do you use it for? I have a 18000lbs winch in the garage that I plan on mounting and it requires al of juice. The winch might be over kill bit with a single line long pull I think it warranted.

    Hey Adam,

I've had it setup now for over a month.

I run an ARB Elements fridge off of it daily almost since then. (its a pain to remove and put back in the bed, so I leave it until its in the way)
I have a Warn 10s Winch that is also setup and some ditch lights, soon to also add a lightbar and rear aux lights.

She goes in very tight but it will fit.

Put my Genesis offroad kit in last night it was straight forward and the fit and finish is top notch running several pairs of @Baja Designs lights and winch and fridge are going in soon I'm confident I won't be lacking power or getting stranded.

This mounts where the windshield fluid and power steering fluid resovior are now. The aluminum tank holds the windshield fluid and the power steering fluid resovior mounts on the tab coming off the side.

I run a small dual battery setup for now due to weight, only needs to power my refrigerator and water system, get 24 hrs out of it. Even if I would stay somewhere more than overnight running the truck for 15-20 minutes twice a day keeps it good. Also carry jump box. Eventually will run DC to DC Charger/MPPT and it’s wired for the upgrade, so just waiting on funds.C97C9571-7E5B-4248-B566-8661CE4BD0AB.jpg99BFEC99-A11E-42AA-B8F4-2BDB2D305F8C.jpg F143B3D9-34BD-4C8B-AA29-09BE0E200697.jpg

I’m going to tell you the biggest flaw of the genesis is it is too tight. The connections are too close to the metal of the truck and when I was off-road, it hit and shorted out. I had to take the whole thing out.

Which DC to DC charger are you looking at? I know someone that has one sitting on top of his toolbox and it’s possibly for sale
