SOLD Toyota Metal Oil Filter Cap + wrench + drain valve/hose.

    Filter cap is Toyota OEM part number
    $42 15620-31060 15643-31050
    15620-31060. It's the metal cap replacement for crappy plastic stock one. I went Jowett, so don't need it anymore.

    Also metal filter wrench and drain hose with valve for no-mess filter drains. I don't remember where I got the filter wrench. Drain hose/valve is pictured w/ packaging.

    Asking $30 for all three items, plus the ride.

    Filter cap does not include the internal perforated filter holder with spring. Reuse the holder/spring from your old cap assembly (you'd have to do this if bought brand new anyway, b/c it comes with a short/stubby filter holder & ours requires the longer one that comes stock). Also doesn't come with the cap drain plug - reuse your current metal one. If you do need drain plug, let me know & I'll include it.

    What is the function of the spring in the oil filter cap??
    I had my Tundra serviced at, what I thought was a reputable location. I asked the manager if, when replacing the plastic filter cap, he installed the spring....he said "you don't need it".
    Why would Toyota engineers design an engine system with it???
