Look at the standard features you get over a limited and see what you want and how much is the price difference between a similar year/mileage limited?

I have a 7 year old Sequoia platinum and glad I bought a platinum. Love all the features and paying the 7 year depreciated price on them is great. Don't see myself paying for a new platinum though.

Yeah, am upgrading the head unit hopefully soon. Didn’t want to go with the Alpine Halo, so as soon as Pioneer finally releases their new 11” tablet style with wireless CarPlay it’s what I am getting. They say May 1st, but who knows. Have already done speakers / amp / sub. Head unit was last piece.

after many months of scouring the the internet for a used tundra crewmax I across an 18 tundra platinum at a price I couldn't believe so I scooped it up. I was only really looking for a limited as the only feature I wanted was leather because of my two kids. My favorite Plat. feature is the power folding mirrors, and the leather is super comfy too!

my 2 cents for what it's worth. There may be things you want, but can't really add vs things you want that you can't add. Get what you really want or you'll just be looking at a new truck later on. If you're spending time on this forum you're going to spend a bunch of money anyway - better to add it to the truck you're going to drive a while vs on a truck you might sell in a couple of years.

I have the Limited and have auto up/down driver and passenger windows. Just a btw.

Hmm, wonder if that’s a new feature for the 2020s. Pretty sure, but not positive, that 14-19s only had driver. Maybe someone else can confirm

Go Platinum if you like the safety features also. My insurance went down$350 year from having F-150XLT. Didn’t care for the wheels so you can make it your own like I did and throw some aftermarkets on there (Black Rhino). Possibly suspension? 6112/5100 set up. Best decision I ever made.

I think platinums are worth it. I love mine. The best thing is that even though is 6 years old the premium interior ages well... I don’t feel like I need to upgrade anytime soon

I don't think the Platinum has anymore safety features than the Limited does once the Premium package is added.

Yup. Was talking about driver/passenger for the 2020 limited. Not platinum. If someone with a 14-19 limited could chime in and say if passenger is auto up/down would answer the question

You may be right about the Limited safety features. I just liked the platinum seats so that leaned me towards the upper model.

Just googled and answered my own question. The 2019 limited I just looked at was auto for driver side only. So, might be a new feature for 2020 limiteds having both driver and passenger

No worries. There's a reason they make different models..
I wasn't sure how well the seats would hold up after 10-15 years as I tend to keep my vehicles quite a while. I do like the Platinum seats better though. I also like the folding mirrors. The rest of it wasn't that important so I decide to go with the off-road suspension, 18" wheels, skid plates, larger gas tank, and tow hooks. I also have remote locking tailgate, and spray-in bed-liner. Added a couple more goodies and liking my Limited. Only thing I didn't like was all the chrome but that should be all taken care of in the next couple weeks.
