Removed the winter tires/wheels and installed my summer set. Using my new Autel TS508, I scanned and relearned the TPMS sensors into the TPMS EDC. TPMS relearn process took about 15 min, and that was because I goofed the procedure the first time, and had to re-do it. I really love that Autel unit.

Oh, and I didn't read the thread title carefully enough. I have a 4wd Tundra, hope I didn't break any Forum rule.............

Last #covid19project done. Got the front 5100s in. Did the no spring compressor method. Not too bad. 2 hours for the front.

Forgot to measure the pre-5100 rear height but it shouldn't have lifted with just shocks.

Pre fronts: 36 1/4" left and right
5100s at mid perch after: 38 1/8" left and right

    Rears: 39 3/8"

Just a tad over 1" rake. Just what I wanted.

Had quite a productive day today with rust removal and por-15 coating. Didn’t snap a pic, but did the wiper arms as well. Bumper is done inside and out. All of this black stuff will be coated with black Raptor liner next. My hands are sore haha.

Mom told me that today when she got in the Sequoia, and turned it over that the clock read 1:00 like it had been reset, and her overhead lights no longer work.

I went out and flipped the Light switch from door to on, and nothing.

Checked the fuse box under the hood for something labeled lights other than headlights. I didn't see anything that stood out, but I was kinda pressed for time when I was looking.

I'm not sure if there is a "cab" fuse box. I looked around the kick panels, but didn't see one. I'll check more in depth tomorrow.

When it comes to electrical work I am not the guy to troubleshoot stuff. I don't know where to start.

Any ideas, or has anyone had a similar issue?

Haha yes I have kids and it’s slow going haha. I’m hoping to finish the black bedliner this weekend, although a family thing can up for tomorrow so it’s looking less likely. The next weekend I’ll start body prep.

I would think fuse but something made it blow. Get the manual out for fuse locations. Usually one box under hood and one under dash.
    Good luck

Got in a Sunday AM alignment. Only 3 of the 4 cam bolts spun. Not bad for 12 yrs of a salt beating. Alignment still acceptable I think.

I removed the running boards. I'm 6-2 and they only got in my way getting in and out of the truck. The truck also looks better without them. Only 8 bolts holding them on. I also finally reinstalled the skid plate. I removed it when I replaced the timing belt. It was full of grime and took me about an hour to clean it up. Apparently the previous owner had it serviced they probably just left it on when changing the oil filter and let the oil just drain over it. Despite it having the the two hooks to "help" reinstall it, it nevertheless was a big PITFA reinstall it when just lying under the truck. I may decide to permanently remove it at the next oil change. I really don't want to deal with it again. It doesn't really look like it protects the oil pan that much on a 4.7.

or upgrade for aftermarket skid plate. has a small door for access to filter so you never have to remove it again.

Found a blown fuse in the engine bay when I finally had time to really look. Pulled another fuse out to test the circuit. All things go. Now I need an assortment of these "mini-me" fuses as a backup now that I know they exist.

Over the weekend: water pump, belt, belt tensioner, idler pulley, thermostat and removed the rear axles for new bearings. Dropped off axles this morning at the machine shop to have the old bearings pressed out and new pressed in. Pretty easy jobs, just some nuts and bolts.

How many miles do you have that you’d need new axle bearings? I’ve never had to replace them on anything I’ve had even with lots and lots miles.

120k, only the driver side was making noise and after I pulled it out you could feel some definite resistance when spinning it. The passenger side was probably ok but just figured I do both and get it over with, actually seems like a fairly common issue with Tundras maybe you have just been lucky.

Thanks man. I’m going to do the under side of the truck and chassis in por15. But that’s for another time. Need to find a rust free box first. I’ll pull the box off the truck to do the rear half of the truck when I do it. And this box isn’t worth bolting back on. So she waits :)

I'd be interested in all the POR15 work you do on the underside. You're obviously very capable, but I wanted to know how big of a pain in the ass it is to descale and POR15 everything. And what specifically you end up coating. I've got a similar Midwest 08, and it's starting to become a necessity for something to be done.

Don’t fret, I’ll post it when it do it. Honestly, por15 makes it easy. You can paint it directly on rust! When it dries, it feels like powder coat. I’m stunned on how nice it is. Ideally paint it over no rust at all, but it is nice to know it will be be ok to paint it over tight corners where sanding is challenging. When I do my chassis, I have other plan’s as well, and am planning it to be sand blasted it regardless.

Awesome. I've read some say there actually needs to be (non-loose) rusty metal to convert or adhere to? I haven't read the MSDS or anything so I don't know what's in it or what exactly is going on. But you have experience with it?

I’m just reverberating what I read on the instructions as far as the rust goes. I wouldn’t paint anything over loose rust personally. And I’m barely experienced with it since I used it a few days ago for the first time :)

Installed my Firestone Ride-Right air bags today...pretty simple install, would go much faster if I had to do it again. Cutting the bump stops off is no fun on the truck so I removed them and cut them on the bench with a grinder....love the smoke and burnt rubber smell...lol. Really impressed with the bags.
