Good point. She is the most intuitive dog we've ever had. Tied for the smartest. I'm keeping an eye on her now.

I am of the opinion that leather seating surfaces in any vehicle sucks, I much prefer cloth.

Cloth seems more durable and nicer in extreme temps but my GF and Dog would destroy it.

I ordered your model 2 times put 10k down and it never came . After 5 months I got an inferno tacoma and hated the transmission. Poor choice on my part. But now They dont have the inferno i wish my tundra was.

You just described mine. If you consider Taiwan Chiinah . I had the double cab Raptor. Never once folded down the back seats and the bed was too short to use for work . Not offended but i cant see ever buying a Crew again.

I love the look of the Double Cabs. I sort of wish I'd bought my Tundra at a different time in my life so I could have justified one.

I was comfortable with 60 months for my last car but $500/ month is no great hardship and probably about half of what it would cost to finance a full size pickup.

At 1.99% or lower at 84 months what's the point of having a higher payment? I put those monthly savings into an investment that's been getting 6% year over year (flat this year so far). I can deal with $3k in interest over 7 years for that lower payment.

I don't know if this is an opinion but I'm willing to bet it's unpopular around here: if I were still single and living in a condo and thus didn't have anything to haul or tow, I wouldn't be driving a pickup.

I don't have to drive a pickup, but I find myself increasingly reluctant to drive any vehicle that doesn't duplicate the seating position and view of the road in front of me that I get when driving a pickup. As much as a like sports cars and other vehicles that have my butt positioned close to the road, I no longer enjoy sitting in or driving them. Give me a new Corvette or NSX, and I won't drive it.

I like the fuel economy and maneuverability - both in traffic and when parking - of a car but, between owning a house and my wife needing to take everything she owns when we go camping, a truck is necessary for my life now.

Agreed. It makes about as much sense as people who have a car payment their entire lives.

Part of me would love to have a Lexus IS350 or similar but I just like trucks. I will admit that my wife's Rav4 is much more enjoyable to drive around town than my 2002 Tundra.

Overlanding is just a road trip with some camping and maybe a bit of offroading thrown in.

My idea of overlanding is driving to a remote 5-star Hotel Resort that offers room service.
