I installed my reconditioned lights today with the harness, and am having a fast-blink issue with the turn signals.
    • When engine isn't on, turn signals blink at normal rate. Hazards blink at normal rate.
    • When engine is on, turn signals intermittently fast-blink (at approximately twice the standard blink-rate). The passenger side indicator fast-blinks 95% of the time, and the driver's side fast-blinks 50% of the time. Hazards blink at normal rate.
During all fast-blink conditions, all indicators blink fast: interior green arrows, Sequoia LED headlight indicators of topic, tow mirror LED indicators, and tail light LED indicators (I'm pretty sure the LED tail lights have a resistors in-line).

I haven't had any time to get more sample data. For all I know, it may fast-blink when the engine is off and I just haven't run into it, yet. But I was wondering if anybody has experienced this. Maybe has to do with tapping into the IGN fuse?

ETA: I saw that xrunner said his harness has no hyperflash issues. Is this just because the 2018 Sequoia uses the same electrical as Gen2 Tundras and its headlights are built from the factory to accomodate this?

ETA2: oh yea. I plugged the turn signal connector back into the OEM bulb while it was causing fast-blinking with the Sequoia light, and it blinked at the correct speed.

Here in the next couple of days, it will mark 5 weeks since I’ve paid for my harness and have yet to receive it. Anybody else having/had an experience like this?

I think he originally told me it would be about two weeks. ended up around 3-1/2 or 4 weeks. I don't remember exactly but he will come through.I think he had to wait on some connectors.
They are quality and worth the wait.

Ya, I’ve already been thru the “out of connectors” phase. Then they were back in stock. Mine was supposed to be done 2 weekends ago, that’s the last I’ve heard.

Subscribing. Truck is in the shop for damage, and hoping to work this conversion into the repairs. Will know by end of week. 2012 Rock Warrior in MGM.

Wanting to do the 2018+ Sequoia Lights conversion, and then do a 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro Grille after. Should totally freshen up the look of the truck which is looking slightly dated at this point.

Been following for a week or so, but I'm posting up just to keep track, have a place to post my truck afterwards hopefully.

It’s now been 12 days since xrunner has communicated with me. Hasn’t responded to my DM inquiring about when the harness will be finished, nor to this thread.
Edit: received mine, installed and couldn’t be happier.

I did hear from xrunnerdude67 and it appears, due to circumstances beyond his control, things had been delayed. Should have mine done this weekend and I’m expecting it sometime next week in my hands. I’ll update this post.
Edit: received, installed and couldn’t be happier.

    All,

I have a 'rather modified' 2011 Tundra (...chronicled my build in several other forums - like ExPo) and I would like to say Hello!

I have been too busy with life to post up on forums until now. Xrunnerdude67's LED upgrade has awoken the dragon once again...Looking forward to posting up after I get my harnesses. My Tundra will be getting some additional well needed upgrades soon - STAY TUNED.

Happy Memorial day weekend to you all! Proud to be an American...

    Regards,

    BWJ

Harness showed up today, dropped it off with the body shop, can't wait to see the truck finished this week.

Harness looked great, craftsmanship looks good. Cant wait to get it setup!

    All,

I just installed my headlights - INCREDIBLE. Xrunnerdude67's harnesses are top notch with attention to detail second to none. I know that this upgrade is costly, but it is well worth it. Oldest son says my truck is a little more 'Megatron' now...

For all you guys thinking of doing this - much better headlights vs. my originals, definitive improvement at night and a little more 'Megatron' dust on the rig.

For all you guys waiting for your harnesses - BE PATIENT, IT IS WORTH THE WAIT. Everyone was affected by COVID, including Xrunnerdude67. He is a stand-up guy and it is on it's way.

Remember the scene in Back to the Future? Marty McFly opens the garage door and sees his new Toyota? I get that feeling everyday...Thanks again Xrunnerdude67!

    Regards,

    BWJ

Roger that. Hopefully this will be better than the Lamin-X 'install' attempts on page 17 (post #494) of this thread...

The place I'm taking it to has installed XPEL on a couple of local McLarens, so I figure my headlight install should be a little less stress, barely...

I'll post up after I get it done for sure.

    Regards,

I'd never heard of it so I googled it. It looks like it's meant to be a layer of protection for damage similar to Rockblocker, but will it prevent oxidation of the headlights too? So headlight restoration , then XPEL.
