In the market for some nerf bars or running boards for my ‘18 stock height. I’m in the north east so my question is what is better for keeping my rocker panels clean during the winter. Nerf bars seem like the obvious choice because they sit a bit further from the rockers but I don’t know if that is flawed logic. Also, I worry a bit about them being slippery in the winter but I’m willing to deal with that if it means keeping the salt off my rockers to help prolong the life of them.
    Thanks in advance!

I have had both and both collect snow and slush, especially the front. I currently have the RCI protection steps. They have the reverse stamp on them, footing is very secure. I dont think they make these anymore.

Unfortunately @RCIoffroad doesn’t make them anymore which is too bad. I would have definitely given them my money. Love my skid plate from them.

Hey Grumpus — If you ditch the factory step bars I need the black plastic steps. The one on my passenger side got ripped off!

I’ll let you know if I end up getting new ones. Not sure what I’m gonna do with the OEM ones yet.
