Sadly, those people are out there. Looking for shortcuts and not willing to put in the time/effort.

Sorry for bringing this up. I was sent the wrong (ECU) tune file this past Monday . Might you be circling back in ZenDesk for my Tuesday reply to order #4706 to have a gander at that or would you prefer to skip it and wait for the vF release? Thanks!

I Understanding your apprehension about training someone to write code.
I was thinking more along the lines of someone who would do admin and reply to emails and answer questions. They could go through emails and ask you specific questions customers had and reply on OV’s behalf. They could do the time consuming job of filtering through everything then get specific answers from you and also give general answers with little training. They would learn as they go and become more self sufficient over time.
You wouldn’t be training them to write code so you wouldn’t jeopardize trade secrets.

Yea I realize I sent you the wrong once twice, because I searched through your ticket and made one based on the initial wrong one. Will send you corrected one today.

I also have a 10 hour drive in the Tundra on Tuesday, testing and verifying the last bit of code for these upcoming patches.

Very cool, many thanks. Makes me chuckle though. You nearly have me believing that my ECU ID is the other one, but thankfully the flashing software is having none of that business.

Yeah thats not my experience with the tow haul mode on my latest tune revision. Its basically broken. If I leave it in D and put it in tow/haul mode, sometimes it shifts normally and other times it will get stuck in a gear. While experimenting on uphill twisty mtn roads this weekend, it got stuck in 4th. I was playing with throttle trying to understand what was going on and after a minute or two, it unstuck itself and started shifting again.

The tow/haul mode is completely useless to me at this point and I hope it gets fixed with the new update we are expecting by the end of July.

Direct shift will be nice for specific situations, but I didnt buy a truck with an automatic transmission so I could run it in manual mode and shift it all the time

Great that makes it easier on us. I'll remove gearlock from your tune, setup your mapswitch and be done with it. Since the features we created it sounds like you don't even want.

FYI even stock tune will get stuck in 4th if you are accelerating. There is a timer involved if you have high torque demand.

Don't talk to me like I'm a spoiled child. If you dont want to provide me with the same level of service as you do with everyone else, then send me a refund

I have NEVER had my truck get stuck in 4th gear when I floor the gas pedal so I dont know what you are talking about

Then stop throwing bullshit about our product on the forum and talk to us like an adult. Have an issue with Tow haul? Communicate it to us and we will make changes to it.

Tow haul on your latest revision isn't basically broken or useless. The shift points likely need a simple update.

Funny that the people who communicate their issues to us we work with and get things solved no problem, and the people who make 10 posts here for every 1 email reply are the ones with the most problems and least amount of things fixed in their tunes. We tune hundreds of these trucks, not just a few here and there. If you don't communicate with us then nothing is going to get done.

Mat PLEASE hire someone to run your internet platforms.
Your expertise is writing code, it’s clear you know nothing about customer service. Find someone who knows how to tactfully respond to customers who aren’t completely satisfied with your product.

Hey man you said multiple times in this thread and in my email that THERE WILL BE NO MORE REVISIONS UNTIL THE UPDATE AT THE END OF JULY

So i figured I was stuck with this tow/haul problem until July. In any case, I was simply responding to another member to let him know what my experience with your product is

Its not BS man. If the shift point need to be fixed, thats fine. but as is, it does not work.

And how about you count my posts in this thread. Because I most certainly do not make "10 posts here for every 1 email reply"

Sounds like you're pretty upset with me Mat. Give me my money back and we will part ways. Or else treat me with a little respect

I can send Rafael here to answer all of your forum posts.
You will get the sweet pleasantries of "thank you, We will do better next time" "We will strive to perform better and make adjustments"

    That doesn't fix anything.

There are reasons why he is unhappy and if he, like others here would understand that if they can just communicate this to me properly then I will do everything in my power to fix it. But just throwing bullshit on the forum and expecting your problems or tune issues to be solved does nothing for both of us.

Yes I am upset. How much of this do you communicate with us properly by our zendesk?
How much of your tune do we have to figure out from your forum posts?

You get mad at us because you aren't getting the service you want, and expect the same service as the customers who actually make sure to tell us about issues they have, things they need changed, etc on our zendesk.

How many times have I said here that I do not know who anyone is from their forum name. And yet I still have to jump through hoops and make here and there guesses who this or that person is or what issue they have from this forum.

Then I go digging to find their ticket and correlate it and what do you know they don't send us shit through our zendesk, so in reality we NEVER knew about said issue.

it does not matter if you post on here 100 times you have a problem with Tow Haul. If I don't know who you are by ZENDESK I cannot help you. (general statement for everyone).

The bottom line is simple. I have probably said it in this thread a hundred times.
Communicate what is going on by zendesk, or get no help at all.

I don't think you even want to have a proper tune. Because I know for a damn fact I have had this same conversation with you in the past. That if you don't send it to our zendesk, you don't get help. And here we are again.

Reply to your previous email with your issues / requested changes and he'll get back to you.

FWIW I've never had an issue getting responses via zen desk (support@ovtune.zendesk.com). It isn't always instant but I don't expect it to be either.

I am going to make this crystal clear. For everyone.

If you do not send us a message on zendesk in regards to any issues you are having, it will not be fixed.

I do not know how to be more clear than that.

Yeah, based on his last post I will send him an email.

But he has said in this thread AND in my email that there will be no more revisions until the big update. So until this morning when he changed his mind, why would I have emailed him??

because there are always exceptions? so that he has it on record for when is ready to send out updates?

Mat posted some time ago that he was going to change his tact slightly and gave the option of sending out one more revision. He's working on mine, so please stop distracting him.
