I worked with a hospital on installing an android based internal phone/patient motoring system. The android phones were Honeywell and Honeywell sent out a guy to do a wireless survey of the hospital to make sure our network would work properly with the devices. Was surprised to learn they had an entire team at honeywell just for wireless site surveys and troubleshooting. Using Ekahu and omnipeak for surveying and they were super knowledgeable about our Cisco 5520 WLCs. I found it pretty cool to know that wireless could be a field all it's own.

I was also curious and didn’t want to miss this guy’s updates on his watch build, so I asked him to start a dedicated thread and he did: https://www.tundras.com/threads/make-your-own-watch.66930/

Looks like post #3 has some info on sourcing the “guts”.

My wife's mother's day present came today from Italy.

A Nicky Hayden hoodie, 3 shirts, and a few packs of stickers. Bought me a few HRC shirts while I was at it. They shorted me 1 shirt so I'll have another package coming from Italy. Only took 4 days to get them. We are huge fans of Nicky and this company is legit. RIP Nicky!

PS. We opened the package without spraying it with Lysol, took the stuff out of the bag and tried on all the shirts without washing them. :anonymous:

This quarantine has been hell on my bank account. Had all my trees trimmed, stumps ground etc, $1800 later....kill me. Other than that, new kennels for my dogs. Got tired of breaking the “cheap” store ones so sprung for a “premium”, rotomolded kennel with lockable slam latches. Since both pooches ride in the bed on top of the Decked system, needed kennels that could be strapped easily and be sturdy. Went with Dakota 283 G3’s. Should arrive Monday. I’m excited, should help ease my stress about my K9 kiddos knowing they’re as secure as I can make them when we travel. Spendy but if they hold up, worth it. Have a 1 year warranty too

I swapped out my steering wheel for a leather Tacoma wheel, my wife didn't notice, but mine doesn't have the red centering ring either.

They also have another line geared more towards homeowners and its pretty reasonable price wise but still just insanely good as all of their stuff it for me!

    Amplifi is Ubiquiti too!

Oh, I know it, but honestly, my house is a special case:

    1. Wife works from home and I need it to be stable as hell.
    2. Wall between our new addition and the rest of the house is 1' thick with steel siding in between. (Long story.)

As such, I needed something that I could use from room to room and make dang sure it'd use wired backhaul, plus other features (e.g., separate WiFi networks, VPN for IOT stuff, etc.), and straight Ubiquiti was actually cheapest by far. (The new UDM would have worked, but for the same cost as a UDM, I got a USG, 8 port PoE switch and a Nano AP.)

    No thank you.

Thankfully? The two I've had were passed. Either way I don't want another one and good luck.
