I don't use any electronic navigational devices. I use hand written directions, a map if my destination is new, and the location of the sun in the sky or shadows on the ground.

Sheesh, I guess I could have tried harder...

I have some ancient scrolls tucked away from the elements. When I am traveling anywhere, I carefully unroll them across the dashboard, and weight each corner down with rare stones and fossils.

I use a bronze compass to estimate distances and perform my calculations.

I have been doing this since I had to take my sextant into the olde repaires shoppe.

I don't "make" my truck go in any particular direction. I feel that would break it's spirit.

I use the built in Entune navigation unless I need specific directions then use Google maps.

On my Taco, I use my USB interface to have Google navigate and tell me what turns over the radio... because I don’t have Nav in my 2007 Taco.

I was figuiring that Tundra “might” (highly doubtful) have a google maps app that would let you do it on their radio / screen.

By myself - google maps on my phone on the center console charger

Family trip - wife uses google maps and gives verbal direction. I find her having the navigation is easier when traveling if she wants to break off and discover something or for food/bathroom.

I tell Siri the address and the pioneer radio with CarPlay takes over. It's always up to date.

I just listen to “Jesus take the wheel” but somehow always end up at a Taco Bell or Waffle House.

The lady in the phone tells me where to go unless the wife is with me then they argue over the best route.

I mostly rely on memory and landmarks locally, but that can be a challenge as the years go by because land marks (trees & buildings) come down from time to time, logging or a big storm will also alter the landscape.

Out here in the high desert, it is dead reckoning; because i reckon that Scout app is dead. I actually use the Google Maps app on my Android phone. I never trust the iPhone cause the best nav app on that thing is Google Apps and I am pretty sure the iPhone NAZI's will one day let me down and default me to their nav app.... No problem finding a latte at Starbucks, but good luck finding that cluster of Joshua Trees just south of Mirror Dry Lake. Google Maps lets me enter in GPS coordinates in Lat/Long

Google maps on my Android. I have the volume turned up and I just throw my phone down on the centre console after looking at the route on the screen.
