Ok, not to knock the chrome around the Toyota/Tundra or TRD grille, because I actually like it.. Anyways, I tried this originally With a newer TRD Pro grille and posted a photo on Reddit and got crucified.. All this to say I appreciate this group/forum for being more open to individual preferences. Thank you!

I think it’s easier to pull off with silver sky, but to be honest that’s on the list, just a little lower down there. Eventually I’ll bring it to a body shop and have it sprayed...

I took @1lowlife 's advice and ordered the Pro fog bezels from @Roman. Way better result than the cheap Amazon bezels I had.

Here is mine with the chrome surround. I am now working on blacking out everything but still awaiting parts.

I originally had them connected with a fuse tap with the “TAIL” lights. I then decided that I wanted them on an OEM style switch in the dash.

I used a relay harness (I know, probably overkill). I liked the idea of the dual leg version- one for the fronts and the other for the rears. However, a single leg can still work with tapping into the leads before the connector or using a a pigtail splitter connector for duals.

    https://www.diodedynamics.com/heavy-duty-dual-output-light-bar-wiring-harness.html

However, it made connecting it to the switch tons easier. I used the CH4X4 Toyota small switch series. I also found the illumination circuit from the VSC switch and ran a generous pair of wires to the lower switch dash panel underneath the climate controls to allow for tapping and making the switches dimmable and turn on and off with the dash lights.

    https://www.ch4x4.com/product/ch4x4-custom-laser-etched-toyota-small-push-switches/

There may be other ways to achieve this too...

Maybe others might share some additional options...

    Calling on Ron...

Thanks. I posted in my profile that my yard is one of my passions outside of making beer. When I retire I can make good money on both.

I've heard that the dealership is giving people a hard time about it for some reason when it comes to warranty and recall work?

Did you just replace the gill portion and not the surround? How painful was that and do you have the location you purchased the grill and filler piece from?

    Thanks. Looks great!

Installed my Bakflip MX4 and I have to say mehhh. I had a lot of alignment issues installing it and had to use heavy duty rubber shims to get it to work correctly. I had an older Bakflip on my 2012 Taco which I feel was made to a higher quality. Some of the rubber feet already popped off. They only reason why I am willing to live with it is because I can get full acces to the bed and it protects my back window.

How do you like the Readylift setup? I'm debating between keeping my Coachbuilder 1" shim up front or installing the Readylift +2 for the front, while keeping my Coachbuilder +3 shackles in the rear. How's the ride?

I’m not sure I understand. What did you get crucified for? Keeping the chrome grill surround with the TRD Pro grill insert?

Yep! BAMF letters, but the “4Runner” size and a little JB Weld. Happy with how it all came out. Eventually I’ll get to color matching the surround.

    :D

I bought them for my TSS wheels. As soon as this Coronavirus is over I need to get tires for them.

Make sure you get caps for the wheel locks if you have them, they were free. I also ordered the extractor tool.
