Nah, post away. All first gen Tundras are welcome here.

Well said. I've seen some truly horrible wheels here but I've not said anything. I don't even love my own wheels! I may swap them out for F5's one day.

I call this the “Instagram” angle.

Because you can’t see all the dings, scuffs and faded paint that come with a 15 year old 4x4 truck.

That's one thing holding me back. It would cost a fortune to ship these. I've wondered how businesses can ship so cheap. I'm guessing they get huge discounts. To ship my bed extender(under 15lbs) from TN to CA was going to cost $100... And that's with it broken down.

You called it with the alignment issues with the rear bumper kit they sent. Not only that, they didn't send a complete kit and was missing two parts to complete the kit. The welder had to make the missing parts and make several adjustments as the top plate (located just below the tailgate) was about 1/2 an inch short. I reached out to COASTAL OFFROAD about the issues at hand, and they informed me that i had received the old instructions and that why there were parts missing. The new instructions showed the parts that were missing. I reached out to them again said that the parts weren't there and weren't gonna magically appear with the new set of instructions. They replied and stated that I didn't email them to complain about the package being damaged. I replied and stated that no such email was created, because there was no damage to the package. It wasn't until about two days after the fact and emailing back and forth, that someone by the name of Brandon replied and stated that the instructions were updated and that maybe the parts that I claimed were missing were not recognizable due to the old instructions. It wasn't until Brandon replied that was I offered to get the parts shipped to the shop , by this time i paid an extra $200 to get the missing parts made and make adjustments to get a true fit. COASTAL OFFROAD did not offer a partial refund to correct their mistake, but stated they will offer a huge discount on their rock slider and or skid plates that are to come out later on this year. My welder made an adjustment to the rear bumper as the instructions state to fabricate the bumper right up to the fender, but if the truck is used to off road there will be flex in the bed which might cause problems with the bumper impeding the flex. I will update pictures of the completed bumpers asap. I truly love the design, but was not happy with lack of response to resolve the problem immediately. I will post at a later date what king of "HUGE" discount I get for the skid plate I might buy. NOT!

That's shitty. We all know when we have bad products and bad service we can't wait to buy from a company again, so discounts to the rescue! :der:

Yeah I basically got the same story, but never got an offer to send new parts out. Mine was mainly off on the mounting points on the bottom side of the frame, he even admitted the piece I had wasn’t correct, crickets chirp. So was yours off from the top plate to the top of the side wing? I got the same story about the instructions, but I thought mine said to leave a gap for flex on the wings, I definitely had flex and had to add more supports. I can’t remember/tag the other use that just had his done, he had an access cab, I’m not sure if he had the same issues we were having.
It is definitely a very involved diy project, hopefully your welder is good to you and knows what they’re doing

Exactly the same problem but the new instructions want the side wings to touch the panel. I took the pictures you sent me for the support, and my welder did them to par. My welder is a very knowledgeable person, and it has taken him more time to get it done as he is building some kind of bomb proof building at McGregor Range for the ARMY.

You guys are making me thankful I ordered from Brute Force Fab. After I saw how Jon's front bumper turned out I wasn't going to take a chance. Maybe if I knew an amazing welder, but I don't.

Damn, that really sucks but def glad I didn't get the rear bumper. My welder had a few issues but worked through it without much trouble. Really sucks you guys are having issues with your bumpers. My welder does great work as well so that was super helpful!

I am baffled really why you would even consider anything else from them after that?
I was considering them too but now I will pass for as long as I live ever trying one of their products.
    Thanks!

Local Artisans is where I would be $ending my busine$$ if I was into Armor but , alas, I am not. Cool shit happens when you let an artist loose on some canvas.

Yeah. It costs more, but in the end you can make more money tomorrow and your job is unique!

I guess I just had bad luck as I initially wanted Brute Force Fab. I called them, I emailed them, and messaged them several times and never got an answer. I follow them on Instagram and saw that he was as online and posting pictures and messaged them, but never got a response.

LoL, just to clarify something. I was being sarcastic on purchasing any else from them that why I posted I would get a HUGE discount. Like most of us we work hard for money and don’t appreciate it when we get the shaft on something we paid for.
