    Hey All,

Part of being at home alot lately I get alot of random thoughts going through my head.. One thing that came to mind was Cab clearance lights.. I had installed some on an old Chevy I had. Kind of like the look at night. I know now a day's everyone's more into LED light bars an such but curious if anyone's ever though of adding them or has added cab clearance lights to a Tundra.. Thoughts?

I have thought the same, actually saw some wireless ones, but they were some ridiculous amount . 400 bucks I think, too rich for me !

It's alot for sure but I'll tell you, when I had to try an line up an drill 10-15 holes in my roof of my old truck it was more stress then a few hundred bucks is worth.. I probably lost a few years off my life.

Those are nice! There's a thread where a guy installed some and hid his XM antenna in one of them. Had to drill 15 he's, but that's pretty slick. I want to do this too.

The Cab Over America wireless lights are awesome. My only issue is that you have to turn them on and off via a wireless remote that they supply. My understanding is that's the only way to control the power. I don't want another remote in my truck, because I know I'll forget to turn them on (and I won't even think about it, because you can't see them from the driver's seat), and will also forget to turn them off. If he could figure out some way to get the power integrated into the headlight power, then I'd buy them in a heartbeat. The guy that makes/sells these is also a really nice guy.

Ill be honest with you. They are worth the price. I had them for over a year and they perform so well. very good construction.
Also When I tried to make something similar my self. It ends up costing much more.

I had these on random elevations from sea level to 10000+ feet
Snow, rain, mud and carwashes cant hurt these bad boys.
They have served me very well.

But the only down side is when they go out of sync and you have to re-sync them. Don't worry I have been bugging them for a redesign and they have mentioned new one is on its way. So there might be something better coming your way or you can buy mine for cheaper when I get the new version. :oldglory:

He will not tell me. But join me in bugging him :) I been messaging him here and he is very responsive.

Also when I mentioned I am switching my truck he sent me a new set of plates to move the lights to a new truck for free.
Really a good guy and great customer service.

I love the look of cab lights. Make them a little smaller, dimmable and tied into the truck somehow and I'm game.

I like the really old school look of 5 evenly-spaced lights, rather than 3 in the middle and one on each side.

Dang that's pretty sweet. I didn't realize cab clearance lights were something you could add on yourself. Will definitely be looking into this.

Call me the hater here, but you asked for thoughts..

If they ain't going on a heavy duty diesel, then I think they look cheezy. You might get a few laughs from the Powerstoke or Cummins guys, but it's your truck. Do what you want.
