2013 NA 5.7 with BAMuffler and AFE pro filter, 305/70/17 tires..I tow a fair amount nothing really heavy. The OVTune thread has kinda turned sour, so no real info there?
Before I heard about OVTune I was going to order the Bullydog...wanted to hear from those with experience with either tune, pros and cons..will OVTune eventually deliver, and is it that much better than Bullydog? It’s nothing I really “need” and not in a rush. Just don’t want to wait 6 months for OVTune? And then maybe another 6 months?

I'm in the same situation here. Purchasing my LT's this week and been researching numerous threads on tuners. Emailed DAP last week and haven't heard back, OV fell off the map it seems, and Bully Dog is stocked on the shelves...

The others offer so much more than Bully Dog but don't mean squat if your not available to support the community you have a product out for.

Now if I could find someone who uses HP Tuners for our Tundras and reliable I'd open my wallet without hesitation.

If OV comes through? I'm optimistic the reason he’s overwhelmed is because it truly is the way to go? Torque converter lock and manual gear lock I think is the ticket? But when/if is the question..

Sounds like a good question for Keith @dirtydeeds he is the man on all things Tundras………I'll probably get the Bullydog myself just from watching a few of Keith's youtube videos.

A truck that is naturally aspirated will see the most benefit from simply tuning out the torque management.

BullyDog has the most features. And is less expensive.

Being able to hold gears was a nice deal tho. Too bad OVTune stopped ‘tuning’ and only wants to sell tuning software. Big let down.

Bullydog does this to varying degrees. Depends on which settings you choose for your truck. And depends on which tune your truck started out with.

Toyota changes tubes every 6 months to 2 years. That’s why you don’t see a bunch of tuners supporting tundra. It’s very complicated.

MT, when you're in a rush, the chance of losing things or missing something grows...wait for OVT...the juice will be worth the squeeze.. as I am also in MT, reliability is crucial...maybe more felt power with BD, OVT is the whole truck getting better...transmission and all...my experience with BD on mine was it felt more powerful but it shifted like crap...made me feel my tranny would need service if skinny pedal stayed on floor...with OVT, more smooth power delivery but not as powerful...yet (basic SC tune until revised tune is sent) but my transmission shifting is superior to that of BD...again, this merely my opinion and experience...

Don't want HP Tuners? Live dyno tune is better than any off-the-shelf or remote tune. It would be a custom to for your specific truck, for your specific useage.

This is at the top of my list, just don't know of anyone doing this locally or remotely for that matter. Seen HPT on some buddies Chevy's and it's pretty awesome.

What part of Texas do you live? There's a butt ton of tuners using HP out there.

When we release vF Tuner for all year Tundras (right now only supports 18s) we will have vF Tuner + Tune pack support. Just like the Tacoma.

So you are getting tuning software + our tunes unlocked.

Kind of like buying HPTuners with tunes.

Then you can use the tune as is, or take it to a tuner and have it custom tuned with the features

Funny I used them years ago for fuel injector cleaning, didn't realize they Dyno tune as well. Calling later today to discuss Tundra tuning. Thanks !
