I'm with you. I replaced my 2000 with a 2020 at the end of Feb. I sold my 2000 over the weekend. it was bittersweet - 20+ years of memories in that truck. My youngest cried when it left the driveway. I had changed more than a few of his diapers on the tailgate! :)

If you have the slightest doubt that you might regret it, and if you can afford it, don't sell the old one. Always sucks when you give up a vehicle you love, and yeah it's just a thing, but you still miss it. I know I do.

I have 3 cars and a Harley. I still find it hard to keep them all in the rotation while paying insurance and registration on them all. If you can afford it, and you like it, keep it. One for beatin' up and one for a night on the town!

Just curious.... if you still have them, could you measure from the ground to the tailgate on both with the tailgate down? And then measure from the ground to the top of the bed sides on both? Would like to see the difference. Assuming they're both stock height.

I can measure them if you want but the 2019 has a SST 3/2 level kit in it.

I was adamant about the level kit but a 3/2 might have been a little much. Even at 5'11", it is hard to reach over the top of the box and touch the floor. Once the topper is on it, the window will be even higher to reach up and into it.

I have a car as an every day driver so having the 2010, car, wife's Rav4, 2019....its just too much. I posted the 2010 on a few sites but I am pretty sure I am too high on the price. Will see what happens.

I bought a 2015 right before this Rona crap got started and the 2001 was not that thrilled about it at the time.
Sh is even less thrilled now as I start yanking things out of her to transplant into the newer, less experienced intended replacement.

Can you sense that I am not that thrilled to get rid of it too?

I hear what you are saying. Mine is completely empty now. I think it began to cry when I removed the garage door opener....or maybe that was me. lol

I like the '15, but you will really miss that 2001 if you end up going separate ways.

That sucks having to get rid of it!! My 08 has 159k miles on it and I'm hoping it keeps trucking right along for the next few years until the wife's car gets paid off, and I'd like to get another car to drive daily and just keep my truck. By that point, I should be a little over 200k miles, and it will be 15+ years old, so it should be cheap on taxes!! I hate starting over on the taxes here, mine has been under $300 once and it's 12 years old right now. Once it hits 15 here, it goes fully depreciated, and the taxes are like $50. On a newer one, it's near $700 or more.
