So if all goes through this week I should have my tundra. One thing I like to do is change the exhaust. I have a flowmaster delta flow 50 on my taco and I like how it sounds. Anyways someone bout 2 hours from me has a used trd pro duel exhaust for sale. They said it was on the truck 6 months. Looks to be in good shape and it's about 300-400 less then brand new. Is it safe to buy a used exhaust? And the trd pro exhausts how is the drone on those?

Will I lose performance with that exhaust? I'm getting the 2020 sport model not that that matters lol. I like the fact that it's plug and play for the most part

Not sure any exhaust is going to give you huge gains alone.

to me it’s more about the sounds of your truck

the two main exhausts that seem to be run around here are dirty deeds and the trd. I myself have the latter and I love it

Yeah I'm looking for sound myself. Scrolling through the threads I thought I saw someone say the mpg will drop. Maybe that's for a break in period on a new one.

The @dirtydeeds exhaust is having a group buy, which may be a better deal.

I turned down buying a gorgeous inferno 2017 TRD Off Road because it had the pro exhaust on it (dealer wanted to keep the pro exhaust and charge me an additional $800 for the single)
IMO it was loud. On ramp, red lights, anywhere the gas pedal was involved, it was annoying. Slight drone on the highway but nothing the radio couldnt drown out. I’ll be towing a lot though so that was my basis of turning it down, louder under load. You’ll get the other camps that think its the best thing since sliced bread and that im a grump for not liking it. Depends who you ask..

id recommend finding a truck with one or a Pro for sale and test driving it yourself if you can.

It’s the best thing since sliced bread!!!:) it’s a dual exhaust and it’s a bit more loud than the stock single exhaust but it is not bad at all. I have the cat back on my and it’s fine. If you go fast you leave the sound behind you:)!!!!:)

Yeah this tundra won't be my DD as I have a Corolla HB for that. The only time the truck will be driven for the most part is for camper towing and maybe weekend rides. I only put 5k on my taco in one year. Well first I need to get the truck but I found a great deal locally on a tonneau cover as well so buying that used will leave me enough to get the exhaust as well. I figure if I don't like it I can put the original back on since it's pretty much plug and play
