A little deviation from the typical grilling; Cottage Pie on the pellet grill today.

Awesome! Spend a lot of time on Norris! We keep our pontoon on Douglas but have 2 family friends that owns some summer houses on Norris and stay with them.

I prefer Douglas as Norris gets really busy during the summer.

Born in Knoxville dad is from tazewell so Norris is where we go. Many cousins with a lake house up there. Still have two farms in tazewell also. One of my favorite places on earth just have to bring your own drinks. Dry county’s still boggle my mind.

Jefferson County is no longer dry. They are a wet county now. As soon as it was passed 3 liquor stores opened in Jefferson City. Not sure about Tazewell/Hawkins County but I am going to assume you can still only buy beer there. I believe Maynardville/Union is dry also.

You do need to bring your own drinks. A dang 45 minute drive to North Knoxville/Halls to get a bottle of Jack, haha.

Technically not grilling, but the Iwatani is sitting on the grill. Pork au poivre.

Mother's Day dinner. 2-inch thick sirloin steaks. Indirect heat on the pellet grill, then finished to medium-rare in butter in cast iron skillet. Onion rings and baked potato. Everything was made on the grills, including the sauces. IMG_20200510_181153.jpg IMG_20200510_173421.jpg IMG_20200510_174405.jpg IMG_20200510_175016.jpg IMG_20200510_173949.jpg
