@Tundra2 that sounds like me in my late teens and early 20s. I used to hit the liquor store and get the 4 tall cans for $5 deal every week night, and on nights where I didnt work the next day it wasn't rare of me to put away 10 tall cans.

These days I drink less, but much nicer beer.

I drink one or two 1oz glasses of whiskey per week, if that. I haven't been drunk in years. I've never enjoyed being drunk so I drink to enjoy the taste and to relax after a long week and that's about it.

I'm also the opposite of someone who has an addictive personality or is susceptible to peer pressure. I'll start and quit stuff just of spite and bitterness to prove a point. LOL. I love coffee and it's part of my morning routine. I got told I was addicted. I poured my cup out on the spot and didn't touch it for 6 months with no ill effects. As a kid, if someone told me to do something because it was cool I was more likely to not do it and think those who were doing it were dumb. To this day I've never tried a cigarette or a joint and I never will.

I have been told that I am addictive myself.

For instance, I was talking with pops. We were talking about dates. I told him, "I don't go on dates, I get hotel rooms."

He did not think it was as funny as I did.

Usually after that, its hard to find peace and quiet for a while, until I talk them back down into some sanity, and lay out the numbers to them...

The nicer beer has more ABV these days. Old days was 2.3%. New days is 6.5%.

    1 beer equals 3.

ok so back on topic I guess...I finally ordered the column gear shift assembly. When in gear the 'stick' is loose and wiggles quite a bit even though I've tried tightening up what I can and replacing the bushings I could. Don't wanna be stuck somewhere in P, R or D and not be able to do anything about it.

Ah I see. We have some Blue agave tequila, Captain Morgan watermelon rum, White lightnin, Whiskey, Kentucky bourbon, and others I can't remember right now stored away in the fridge.

Lots of wine also, Purple toad out of Paducah Kentucky is one of my favorites.

I'll be sure to update this upon my arrival home, but we enjoy a variety when it can be found. Finding it is the tricky part... plenty of liquor stores, but always sold out.

I was stuck like that once in a 2000 Chevrolet 1500. Column shift cable had worn through protective sleeve, was rusting, and accumulating crud. I could shift from P to R and such but could not shift from R to P, and such.

Times are tough, also I've been drinking a lot the last few months. Ultra is cheap and helps maintain my girlish figure.

My usual beers come from local breweries but they're a hell of a lot more potent and I can't buy 30 of them for $22.:spending:

Bought my first Toyota today! Fell into a sweet deal on a 2005 limited with 128000 miles on it. Some dings here and there but it's in great shape and running great! Has the P2445 code running so I'm ordering the bypass kit to install but other than that it's an awesome truck. Excited to learn more about the vehicle.

Thank you! I have a receipt for the lower ball joints being done just a couple months ago so that was cool. I am currently trying to find out if the belt and pump were done, but the last owner did not know and there is no service record of it on the carfax nor a sticker of some sort under the hood. So not sure how else to tell, I read through a few threads on here but did not see much about how to tell other than looking for service history or a sticker. I am prepared to purchase the aisin kit and do it myself if I can't figure it out. Thanks for the suggestions!

So I think you can pull the cover or covers of the top part of the engine to inspect the timing belt, look and see if it’s cracked real bad.

If you register here it'll give you all the service done by Toyota dealers. Won't help if it was done elsewhere but it's a start.

My roof was looking real nasty so I decided to put some money into it and get it repainted. With only 45k on my truck I figure it to be a long-term investment.
