    Hi,

I’m about to pull the trigger on a 2020 Tundra Platinum CrewMax. I had the intention of swapping out the stock 20inch rims for some TRD 18 inch black alloys, but the dealership told me the reason Platinums don’t offer any wheel packages aside from stock is due to problems with the TPMS system on anything but stock wheels.

Can anyone corroborate that, and why? The Limited allows any number of wheel swaps. I also see lots of people swapping the wheels along with the stock sensors. Is this a good idea?

Also, I was told by the dealer that installing a level kit would disrupt a number of the safety features in the truck. Is this a fact?

    Thanks.

They just don't want to change anything before the sale. Try another dealer.

That is complete and utter nonsense! Go to a different dealer.
