6290A08C-7F6A-4E01-BBC6-0A678D0A417B.jpg So I was bored during quarantine and had some black walnut slabs I got for cheap earlier this year. Usually don’t like the epoxy tables but I was so bored and interested in doing a solid color and the boards looked cool matched together. Here’s a pic of how it came out. Not perfect but whatever. It’s 8’ x 3’ and 2” thick. Legs I ordered steel. Might sell it might keep it. Gf wants to keep it for dinning room table. Also it’s not polished yet and sealed. Will send a pic later this week when it’s 100%

I'd love to have that for a dining room table. It's going to be exceptionally nice when sealed.

I've got a similar situation in my back yard with the bricks becoming uneven. I'm think of just ripping them out and going pavers or turf. Make sure you put a border around them to avoid them settling too bad again. Good luck to ya!

Thanks - I'm going to get them all in place and then get those plastic paver edger things and hammer them in on the sides. If that works, I've got another path to do. It's never ending. The previous owner had them cemented together but she must have hired a local because they didn't do it right.

Put some patio lights up at the back porch as a surprise Mother’s Day gift since the wife is out of town.

I have had this fountain for a few years and moved from 2 houses. I have finally had time to pull electric out to it and run the pump every day on a timer only to find out with just the water in the fountain the wind and splashing the water was only lasting a couple days. So with a pond liner and retaining wall blocks I built this to hold more water and hopefully catch more of the water from splashing out.
edit- bleach water and scrubbing is next, lol.

Didn't technically do this today but now that I'm working from home I'm getting more use out of this little improvement. I had maxed out the record storage of my little MDF rack. After looking at most readily available record storage solutions, I wasn't impressed and chose to make my own out of cherry plywood.20180804_110940.jpg
This was in desperate need of being replaced.
    20171126_143415.jpg
Started with a 3/4" sheet of cherry plywood.
    20180519_154737.jpg 20180519_154732.jpg
I was looking to add some character to my storage rather than have it be a traditional group of boxes, so I added some curved faces to the front.
    20180707_163442.jpg
Records are heavy so needed a beefy base.
    20180802_200007.jpg
    20180802_200017.jpg
Nearly there, just need the base and back.
    20180804_201008.jpg
Chose to paint the base and center dividers black in attempt to "hide" their appearance. Time to get it moved inside.
    20180805_130456.jpg
    20180805_130413.jpg
Overall it gives me roughly 6 times the storage capacity, keeps my from bending over to flip a record, and in my opinion is far more interesting than the typical record storage arrangement.

    I've owned 2 S14s and 2 S13s, I have an eye for'em!
She's a beaut! Factory kouki, or did you swap out the front end? My S14s were both zenkis

Been itching real bad to get another, I miss it :(

This is 1998 so a true Kouki and my third S14, first two were 95's. Bought his one in 2009 and I'm lucky enough that I've had the space to hold on to this one for awhile even though it's long past being my daily.

Most likely yes, and I'll never claim that vinyl records are better sound quality than a good streaming service, but I do like the experience of listening to an album from start to finish.

That's awesome! The last year of the legend (in the US at least).
I've always wanted to get my hands on a kouki, but they were always thousands more than a 95/96 and I couldn't justify it. Still waiting for a deal to fall in my lap.

Thanks, I got an awesome deal on it back in the day. Unfortunately the deals are getting harder and harder to find for clean examples.

I've always been more of a purist too wich makes its tougher. I'm not gonna buy some clapped out drift missile, I need something that actually has an interior and fenders that weren't hacked at with a Sawzall :der:

Not just today, but over a week or so. Pressure washed house and walkway, re stained porch floor, painted columns, new flower beds, new solar lights, different color shutters and door and pruned the tree. I did cut the grass today.

Sounds like we have similar tastes. I've always tried to stay close to the OEM look of these cars, sometimes I even debate painting the carbon hood red to match the rest of the car.

I'm told it says FrogmanS14. I used to work with a Japanese lady and she helped make it, but she could have trolled me for all I know. :D

Haha yep, same same. I put an SR20 in my first S14 and loved every second of it, but as I was doing the transplant I just felt dirty.
